Stuart remains in the running to lead both the Eels and the Blues next year, despite the NSW Rugby League's original preference for a fulltime Origin coach.
Acknowledging Stuart's huge contribution over the past few seasons, the NSWRL has revised its stance and is now open to the possibility of allowing him to retain both roles in 2013\. But the final decision is likely to rest with the Eels, who this week signed Stuart on a deal worth an estimated $800,000 per season.
Farah, who emerged as one of the stars of this year's Origin campaign under Stuart's tutelage, declared: "He has to be involved in some capacity, whether that's as head coach or any other way.
"We've made some really strong steps forward in the last two years and I'd hate to see all that get thrown away and for us to start again with a new coach, with new ideas and new systems.
"Ricky's got all those things in place, the players respect him and want to play for him. He's also gotten the pride and the passion back in the jersey in terms of the support of the state and the people.
"That's all down to the work he's done in the last two years. I know he wants to be there still and I hope that can happen."
