Robbie Farah in mX today

For those of you who don't know, Robbie Farah writes a weekly column for mX every Friday. It's the free paper they hand out at Sydney train stations every day.

Anyway, this is what was published today:

Farah refused to discuss the club's turmoil for his regular column in mX, which doesn't appear today as a result, claiming he didn't know what was happening with long-time mentor Sheens.

"As the captain of the club I'd rather deal with it all and work it all out without playing it out in the media like it has been," Farah said.

a) This is EXACTLY how every player should deal with this
b) Farah's professionalism and leadership is there for all to see. I couldn't be prouder that he is the captain of this club and can only laugh at the calls last year and the year before to strip him of the captaincy
c) Farah is the type of player this club needs. He is interested in winning, not treating the place as his personal hangout with his best mates
d) This is a thinly veiled swipe at Marshall. I have no doubt that these two get along just fine but their attitudes are different. Farah is the type of player who does not accept losing.

I think we realized this year above all else that ROBBIE is the heart and soul of this club. Imperative he is Tiger for life.

Farah is a win at all costs type bloke. I know that he wants Sheens moved on. Make no mistake if Sheens stays then he is out of here in 2014\. He is entitled to be furious at the culture around some of the other senior players. I have always said he is a proper leader and he is never afraid to tell the man inside camp Concord about what needs to be done.

He lose Farah and the club is well and truly headed for 5 years of total wilderness and irrelevance.

sort your problems out in house.
**lucky they are not employed as apprentices, as some would get would get a whack in back of the head and told to wake up to themselves.** :wink:
 
What a champion player best hooker in the comp hopfully under a new coach next year we are a top 4 side which i think we will and hopfully have huge signings next year.
 
Farah is a champion who for year has been ridiculed because he is serious,focused and happy at times not to be one of the boys in pursuit of winning and a life outside of footy.

Like posts above he is critical to getting the squad back together when all this crap ends and we prepare for 2013 and beyond. The club needs to prepare for the dogfight we will face to keep him and if the last week has been part of this so be it. I say this with a bitter taste of losing heigno as well.

Maybe he is banned from commenting. It's the pretty much the same line used by Humphreys in today's SMH story on Sheens and the Tigers
