I think Young is a shoe in.

Gould has been calling for him for years and Sticky is a Gould desciple. If Gidley is fit and able to be the bench utility than IMO Young will be picked.

I have a bigger problem with the talking up of Houston and the seemingly guaranteed spot that Bird has and Heighno does not rate a mention. He would be the perfect guy to cover Gallen on the bench as they play a very similar game. Instead we will go with Creagh and another line running backrower on the bench and be let down by lack of starch yet again. Worse still Beauretard Scott will get another go after his failures of last series

Smeg Heard some talk that Creagh was injured yesterday Maybe his name is off the table

SMH Poll….NSW Hooker - Farah, Young, Ennis....Farah and Young at 39% each....Common Guys vote for Robbie....don't kid yourselves Ricky reads this stuff**..Vote for Farah!!.**

I still think they will opt for Farah if Pierce is halfback, with Young on the bench.

This argument/discussion does rear its ugly head every year… but this year there seems to be very little discussion about Farah v Ennis for SOO in much of the media. Now I don't listen to much radio and I only really get to watch Ch 9 and Fox league shows and coverage... but I can't even remember it being brought up at all. Does this mean they are just assuming Ennis will keep his spot? Or are there just better things to be discussing and this argument is a bit old??!!

young 34 % you see thats why nsw struggle to beat queensland when young is considered a serious contender .daly and co were talking up hinchcliffe the oyher night , so robbie could be 3 rd pick….theyll go with the creaghs and gasniers just like they have in the past ,,, its a boys club and only the boys in the club get a go .....no wonder the game dosent have the same feeling for me .....

Missed ur email chris , I heard Hartley say in reply to mine he liked Ennis' antagonism - I guess that translates to he like Ennis throwing a punch then hiding behind his forwards.

He said this in relation to the incident below:

''But in saying that, do you stand there and let a bloke punch you in the head or do you stand your ground?'' Ennis said. ''

Mick thinks 'Cowering in fear and s*** yourself ' is 'standing your ground'

Just went to vote on the SMH poll and it closed with Robbie winning at 42%…....the public know best!!!!!! :righton:

Yes, the Herald and many of its readers appear to support Robbie. Unfortunately though, the DT has a far greater rugby league readership and influence on public opinion, and this is why Ennis has been getting the nod over Farah for the past couple of years.

Which paper did this photo come from? Perhaps someone could re-circulate it, sans the photoshopped skirt, just to remind the selectors and the public what a wus Ennis really is. Honestly, how could anyone even think of selecting him again, knowing that he cowered behind his team mates like that when the going got tough? Can we blow it up and put it somewhere for all these Ennis lovers to see before they select the team?
