I been under one apparently

It seems theres very little footy next weekend?

Theres a test match on Fri May 2nd, and what else?

City vs Country as well I think.

This is exactly what we need anyway, a little rest before we take on the Roosters.

Fiji vs Samoa on Saturday night - winner goes through to Four Nations at the end of the year. Koroibete and Naiyaravaro picked for the Bati.

City vs Country on Sunday from Dubbo.

I hope roosters Kenny Dowell and SBW are playing but I am likely to watch AFL over that weekend due to the lack.of NRL .

Oh well thats something.

Dunno about needing a rest Milky, if we're on a 4 game winning roll I dont want interruptions, but it does bring all our injured players one week closer to a return I suppose

Will the injured players that are due back round 13 now become due back round 12 because of this interruption or did they already take this into consideration?

Its just like daylight savings, instead of a magical extra hour where you can sleep more, we get a magical extra week for recovery

True

taken into account im sure

Don't watch AFL instead. That game should be illegal. It's un- Australian to play a sport that you can't beat the poms in.

AFL? Yawn. It's like watching a bunch of seagulls chase after a hot chip for 3 hours

I think I'd rather watch the seagull actually…

I hate all the knock-ons in AFL.
Also I don't get having a second set of goal posts for missing.
Maybe NRL should have a second try line, in case you don't quite make it.. Like Ava against Parra.
Actual I think AFL would be much better if you could scored tries.

Life tip: Never get into an argument/discussion with a Victorian over AFL vs Rugby League. You will never win. They have some sort of superiority complex about it

Little do they know, the joke is on them… We don't have to win a discussion to know which game is superior...

Rep weekend is a joke….

NZ haven't won an ANZAC test since 1998 and I can't see them doing so unless 4-5 Australian players were to fall ill on match day....It's a no contest......

City-Country, well its supposed to be a platform to trial players for SOO but we've since seen that that's a myth......some of the players picked by both sides are barely FG standard let alone Origin prospects (Cuthbertson, Sam Williams, Reddy and Symonds are some names from last year's game alone that would fit in this category)......The interest in these games is non-existent too epitomised by the 4-5k they got in Coffs last year despite some of the other big names on show.....I'm sure selectors already have a good idea of who'll be playing game 1 based on what's happened so far this year....Not to mention there's still another 4 weeks of club footy where selectors can fine-tune the team if necessary...I just don't see the need or point of city/country......

If the NRL really want to engage rural areas, propelling one game out there to different areas every year with two composite sides playing is not the way to go.....They should force NRL teams to play a certain number of home games across a variety of regional areas each year and this way country fans can connect with the teams they support week to week and have a real passion for.....

It seems like over the last few weeks that the club footy was really gaining some traction with some brilliant games in particular over Easter.....And now we're going to stop to play a game that's a foregone conclusion and another that really has no relevance in the scheme of things?....

The Samoa-Fiji fixture sounds worthwhile.....But could they not find another date to play this game?
