Rod Reddy

Watched an interview with Rod a few days ago. First I was concerned with his age is about 60 years old.
After watching the interview I was impressed with his attitude. And good old-fashioned morals. I think you would be good for the young boys at the club. Someone They can look up to and respect. Seems like a wise man with a sharp eye. Good luck to him.
Go Wests Tigers

It's Joel Reddy who is working with Wests Tigers this year, not his Dad, Rod Reddy.

I think you will find it is Rod Reddy that is one of Taylor's assistants not Joel.
Also an interesting bit of info apparently before Taylor appointed Reddy he approached Andrew Dunneman who declined as he didn't want to live in sydney…

Definitely Rod,,,

Rod Reddy brings to Wests Tigers a wealth of First Grade experience, both on and off the field. In a career spanning 14 seasons Reddy took to the field 204 times for the St George Dragons and 33 times for the Illawarra Steelers, representing his country in 17 Test Matches.

Thanks Geo. My mistake.

I trust Rod is ready but it is Rod Reddy aka Rocket Rod Reddy

The Rocket could certainly play , and if he as good an assistant coach as he was player we are in fine hands

Plus he is a Qlder , need I say more

The more Qlders we have the better this place will be

Can you Qlanders please let go of it…If it wasn't for the great NSW you wouldn't even get a run in the NRL..this is where it started...
And this year the blues will kick Qld arse come origin time....

All this aside Reddy will be great for the WTs,very knowledgable man and was an exceptional player of the game....

Jealousy is a curse TT

All NSWmen are wannabe Qlders

And you won't win SOO , not without Hayne Plane /Train/Automobiles

Sorry Ink I couldn't let them think they are better than us…

Happy," we are all Gods creatures"...
Doesn't matter where you live......

Happy to be proven wrong, but i don't think anyone at that age whose been out of the game for an extended period has much to offer. We've seen older coaches before who've come back into the game after a while and its clearly passed them by. I just don't see what he could offer tbh. Any extremely odd and random addition.

I agree with you most times Happy. Not on the more Qlders the better.
Tigers are in NSW - NOT QLD. We've only ever had a few and that was too many.

2 assistant coaches Matthew Cameron and Rod Reddy as his assistant .

I'd agree that at a certain age coaching the technical aspects of the game becomes harder for older coaches, its hard to adapt (although its not impossible) and we've seen it happen many times.

Certain parts of coaching will still benefit from an old hard and wise head though, if Reddy is there not as a technician of the game but more of a steady and seasoned voice to guide the team with a no BS approach and wisdom, I can see why JT would have him there.

Without doubt one of the dirtiest players of his generation. Maybe he can pass on a bit of his mongrel. God knows we need it.
