I've read for a long time from Melbourne players that Bellamy gives them specific roles and gets them to nail those roles.
Two recent examples are Blore and Garner. I know Blore was U20s captain and all but even under Bellamy, I haven't seen him do anything different to what he did here and same with Garner. It's just that they do the same thing consistently and stay within their lanes.
I hope Benji is able to really break the game into simple tasks for the team, for example:
1. Left backrower and centre lead left side kickchase
2. Lock/Hooker leads linespeed
3. Centres should be back in the line for second tackle, backrowers before the end of second tackle
4. Backrowers to take tackle 5 hit up and props/locks to shield the kicker
Obviously these are tiny examples and I'm sure the coaching staff would go into a lot more detail than this.
I think we usually start off well for the first 20 but fatigue quickly and people just run all over the place.
