Roosters and rabbits

Roosters rabbits are soooo far ahead of The other 14 teams it's ridiculous.
They are getting better while everyone else is stagnant or regressing.
I know it only round 2 but I fear for our for and against next week and it will be a travesty if those two teams meet each other in the semis again and not the gf.

Its going to be long day at the office next week. Which makes tomorrow night even more important.

That was such and exciting game of football….very high standard for this time of year.

Keary at 6 for origin for me, Pearce or Reynolds 7.

Are you serious? Keary has played 10 games if that.

Maybe. Who is your pick? Reynolds out. Maloney can't play. Maybe Mullen, but he has come up short before.

He is such a good player though. Reads the game better than any 19yr old i have ever seen.

I wouldn't touch the Bulldog's pair, NSW will lose 3-0 if they play. I'd go with Maloney. Keary only looks like a champion cos he's playing in a champion team. Put Moses in that side, and i dare say he'd be the flavour of the month as well.

Maloney only looks good when he has SBW playing next to him. I love Keary's competitiveness, i reckon he could step up, I haven't seen him play a bad game.

You wouldn't be interested in the Souths pairing? They haven't put a foot wrong in big games. Depends whether they see him as a long-term option. Maybe bench like they play Cronk.

They're so good.

Best game so far this season. Don't think there'll be many better

I love Reynolds, he's all class. I'd personally go Maloney and Reynolds, but i do know that they like picking guys who have a combination at club level though. That's why when Pearce got dumped last yr, it cost Maloney as well.

+1.

Watching Souths/roosters, all I could think of is how far ahead they are in every aspect of the game they are compared to wests…

To be fair , I'm thinking the same thing watching raiders/warriors.

No way I'd be picking keary in origin… He has openly admitted to wanting to play for queensland, so it'd be embarrasing to pick him. I'd like to see maloney and pearce back in there

oh and inglis is a freak. he can do absolutely anything on the field- just wish he'd get more involved and that they'd stop using him as a decoy all the time lol

Yep the untouchables - no rules to abide by, no salary cap to contend with. Going from strength to strength year after year - it's such a fair comp :unamused:

its called good salary cap management. little off field BS. good training facilities/personell boosted by some nice TPAs.

chooks finished 13th in 2012

try following the tenessee titans or new york knicks and see how long it takes you to get from the bottom to the top. Off the top of my head i could probably name 5 teams in the last 5 years that have done that in the NRL, Parra, Tigers, Warriors, Chooks, Souths, Dragons, Broncos etc.

one of the most even comps in the world imo.

Tennessee have finally made a big splash in free agency. They might come good this year.

Maybe. But the dogs pair worked last year so any change is prob a bigger risk don't you think? Pearce should never ever play origin again although a case could be made for Maloney. But Reynolds is such a gritty 5/8 he is perfect for origin. Meanwhile the other Reynolds is a shoe in for halfback, surely!

I would have agreed with Pearce should never play Origin again at one stage, but he's a different player now imo. I'd still run with Reynolds though. The Dogs pair don't have an inch of creativity between them. The success the Dogs have had has very little to do with them, its all based around their forwards.

Power speed and size right across the field, and with the NRL trying to speed up the play ball and crack down on the wrestle it only makes these two teams more dangerous.

I really think the comp is broken into three groups, Souths and Easts in the top group, Penrith and Canterbury and maybe Manly and the Cowboys in the next group and than the field.

Next week will give us a really good indication how we are progressing, get within 12 points and it will be a good effort

That was a cracking game of footy. Best viewed as a neutral observer. I couldn't handle a game like that if the Tigers were involved.

2 weeks into the season and the referees are a farce already. And the Channel 9 circle jerk over the rabbits and Inglis is getting embarrassing. "He has his game face on". Oh f… off. He's a professional athlete. If he isn't ready to play by the time the whistle is blown he should be in park footy. Funny how it went quiet in the commentary box after the Roosters scored three quick ones.
