Roosters hit with $40,000 fine

I hope the NRL at least has the good sense to appoint Cummins to the majority of Roosters games for the rest of this season and many many seasons to come.

I know I'll be accused of still wearing my tin hat , but this is the very way the NRL can control who wins any game , 2 refs , the bunker coming in ruling on live calls , different interpretations on rules by all and sundry

They can make decisions in tight games that can control results and then fall back on comments like "it was a 50/50 call or getting the rub of the green next week "

They could change the rules quite easily on all of these situations to stop them occurring , but they do little or nothing

And you have to question why this happens

I like Trent RObinson as a coach and a person. But his rant was horrific, John Grant nailed it, it was planned and he was attempting to hold the NRL to ransom.
I reckon the fine at best was barely adequate.

I hope they give them Cummins every week

Penalty count at half time Roosters 7 Knights 4..

I counted at least 4 soft ruck penalties for the Rorters late in the tackle count..

Wow… 32 blot and still time remains
Eddie was right... Ref sprays do work

It is the Knights however. Don't care if they beat us, they are the worst team in the comp.

Oh yeah I forgot they played the wooden spooners, and also got two of their best players back including their ©.
Strange... Robbo felt the need to give a presser rant the week before they faced the Knights.... Probably could've saved that card for a more formative opponent than them
Lucky they won though.... They lost the penalties 8-5

It did seem as though the Knights were being penalised for tackling but I think their technique was sloppy against a Roosters pack that was rolling through fast. The roosters were getting piggybacked up the field though, and I'm not sure every ref would have been so helpful.

Takes more than a few soft ruck penalties to lose 38-0

The NRL have manipulated our game for decades through various means- why has no team gone back to back premierships for 25 years since the Broncos bought multiple premierships through fair means or foul. The NRL hang their hat on supposedly "even competitions" that is why they love the rep season when full strength sides can beat the top teams missing half of their side through rep footy- maybe it is a roundabout way of evening up sides who have next to no TPA backing against teams that spend 3 times as much on their playing roster through dodgy TPA's.
Used to absolutely love RL with a passion but the current state of the game with it's iffy refereeing and TPA's etc has really killed off too much enthusiasm for our competition even when the Tigers have a win. It is as corrupt of an organization that you will ever find. Surprised the CCC has not run a real good comb through our sport, it would enearth a mountain of filth I reckon.

Think there could be a lot of truth in what you say boys.
