Mini isn't a winger at all! He was caught out of position and wondering in field numerous times on the weeked and if a side with an ounce of attacking ability had played them… they would have scored 3 - 4 tries down his wing imo.

Dowall in the centers is another weak point too....

Myles played brilliantly against Souths... our forwards are going to have shut him down and make sure we don't let Carney into the game...

We should win this one...

If you had of asked me before the season what I thought of the Roosters chances, I'd have them in the bottom 4\. However the way they have started the season, well they're one of the form sides of the comp at the moment. The key is Carney and Pearce. They're getting room to move off the back of good go forward and they're in good form.

Tigers have the weaponry to win, but they're going to have to defend better as Pearce and Carney have more options up their sleeve than Lyon did last night.

Even with the Roosters losing 3 or 4 of their young backrowers early in the season, they have truckloads of depth to cover. Any team who underestimates the Roosters this year will be in for a rude shock..

Thats pack is no where near is big/physical as Manly.

Hopefully we will get some metres up the middle.

They were bigger than the Tigers in the Foundation Cup and they had no trouble giving it to Souths. They'll be tough to beat.

If we pick an out of form bench again, I tip Roosters by 18.

Come'on dude…

Had the rabbits any ability out wide they would have beaten the Roosters last week. I think the roosters will go well this year but they are very week out wide and the Tigers will exploit it regardless of the forwards picked. Past that, Manly's forwards are alot stronger than the Roosters...

they are all Carney

they were all Carney during the foundation up
they were all Carney during the Parra trial
they were all Carny against souths

put Fulton on Carney all arvo and we can win it

It is another good test for us. In fact the first three weeks have us facing sides with strengths in our areas of defesive weakness. Manly are a very big and aggresive side that steamroll at you. Easts have one of the best kicking games and forwards who run angles at our tiring forward. Parra have offloads and are spontaneous which we always struggle with.

At our best last night, we were streets ahead of the roosters of sunday arvo. Will be a tough game, they'll be confident. We need to get on top of them in the opening 30 mins.

Bwahahahaha

What was Manly's excuse…..the ref's helped them....

You make me laugh Bug...one day your prediction of gloom will come true....What are you gunna do then?

Wests Tigers by 30.....

I have seen the Roosters live for their trials against us and Parramatta, and against Souths on Sunday arvo….the Pearce/Carney combination is poetry in motion, and the team is gearing up with every outing...I agree with CT and Hybrid Tiger...in that " underestimating this side we could be in for a rude shock".

We played 40+ minutes in the foundation cup with our 2 best attacking players on the bench. Please lets not gauge anything on that game or any other trial game. We have possibly the best backline inthe comp lets let them worry about that and not us running scared of Carney. Yes they will score and possibly through Pearce and Carney but we will score more.

I think Pearce is now the standout number one halfback in NSW and his combination with Carney is lethal. Throw in the strong ball running of Shaun Kenny-Dowell, the pace of Phil Graham that has troubled us in the past and two very good finishing wingers and it`s no doubt they have a very dangerous backline given room to move.

In my opinion the Manly forward pack is much, much better than this current Roosters forward pack and I think our forwards can be much more dominant against the Roosters which will in turn give our back plenty of time and space to run riot.

I dont think the Roosters will steamroll us in the forwards like Manly which laid their platform last night. If we match them there we should win but yes watch Ryles off the bench especially when KG and Gibbs are resting. Their backs when they get a chance will be very dangerous. Carney is a fantastic buy for them and Pearce looks much bigger and better than earlier season - I wouldn't be suprised to see them both playing origin. Nate Myles played like Watmough against Souths and looks set for a big year. Tigers to win another close one
