Somebody said earlier that the moment they saw all those feel good player articles this week they knew this match was going to be bad. What was the club thinking? I know our depth is pretty crap but for crissake keep their heads on football. Injuries dont help but geez.

Even though we weren’t playing well, our will to compete got us home.
They didn’t give a flying Fark out there today and got bitchslapped.

They mentioned how stern the storm looked pre game and we were all jovial and smiling…

Worst thing is - they’d still be stern and focused and we’d still be jovial and laughing after the game

You have to ask why? This should never have happened with the team we have this season. I was expecting a loss, a flogging even, but more like 32-10 or something, not this. I thought we were past this.

They have shown they can grind and even win this year.

So i can only assume they werent anywhere near their mental optimum.

So Benji has to own a fair portion of it.

Whatever the game plan was, whatever the individual preparation, it was an abomination.

Strangely enough they did not even run off at full time. They milled around like cows in a paddock.

Plenty of smiles, it musn’t have hurt them too much. Pole positively delighted whilst talking to the opposition. What happened to leaving the field quickly through shame and anger !!!

Games like today are why I can’t and won’t fully commit to these guys. I want to, I really do but they just have these results in them. We are still half a dozen players short of a top 4 team.

Hope Toa and Fainu can come back soon. Luai is another overpriced marquee player. He hasn’t done anything this year except kick down the fullbacks throats at every opportunity.
