The discretionary 6 agains are a blight on the game and allows the refs to impact outcomes. There is no way they would blow penalties for those discretions because they would have to justify them.

The single biggest problem with the game in my view.

I think the biggest problem for us is that Api is so effective defensively, is involved in every second tackle and his work-rate often goes unnoticed. We have now replaced him with Hope, who frankly, shouldn’t be playing first grade. Without the fairytale story around him, I feel he wouldn’t be playing at all. But we truly need a hooker who does even 80% of the grunt work Api does to be any chance of playing the brand of footy that has been winning us games.

This is true ..but it’s not like people didn’t identify this as a weakness in the squad during the offseason …

Hope cannot be selected again please. I can cop his poor attack if he was good at D but he is horrible. Loses every single contact and gives away 6 agains constantly. He just cuddles up top and gets steam rolled.

The boys tried hard but most of our team were nsw cup level. Forwards cost us in the middle being lazy, ill-disciplined and IQ of a door knob. May is a class above

Harry Grant shut down any half chance we had in the middle today and thats what Api does for us. Poor bloke has to play 80 minutes for the rest of the year or we are stuffed.

Yet he still cops it on here from some. He's not perfect but look how we are without him.

I get that but 4 players out and we turn to manure. We can’t be that close between a top 4 and a bottom 2 team that 4 or 5 guys out has that big an impact. I’m not saying there’s not going to be a drop off but some of those guys are kidding themselves if they think that’s first grade standard.
