LIVE GAME Round 11 v Rabbitohs

Live Game Discussion
We have a rough run coming up.

Bye, Cowboys away, Penrith CBA, BYE, Canberra CTown, Manly 4 Pines, Roosters Allianz, Warriors Auckland.

I can’t see us winning any of the next 6 games. And we may get pumped in all of them.

Run home Titans Leichhardt, Penrith CBA, Dogs CBA, BYE, Eagles Allianz, Cowboys Leichhardt, Canberra at Bruce Stadium.

We would be lucky to start two games favourites Titans and Cowboys at Leichhardt.

We better hope for injuries as we have played the easy part of the schedule.

Yeah season is over yay! Team

I thought after getting a bit unlucky early in the first half we defended well.

Latrell threw that ball forward and from the repeat set they score. Havili was held up imo.

Try from an intercept too.

They had all the ball in the first half.

Second half, our attack was what let us down. We worked it out eventually to just keep pumping the middle and with decent ball, Souths looked like they were going to fold which they did....but...Galvin

Disappointed, but we were a bees dick away from winning.
Good call. I see your bees dick and raise you a recenlty grown hair on a bees back. SAW TOO MOUCH TODAY AND WAS LOSING MY SHIT. Called my mate in Sydney. A X magpie but didn't want theTigers so now a FFFEN DOG. He said man if you were meant to win that game you would have. He said his 3 boys wacth the RORT every week and they are getting over the Bullshit. CAN YOU HEAR ME MR GREEK GOD OF WHAT YOU THINK IS GOLD.8

Spoon is still a reality

I'm not defending Luai here as I agree he needs to step up and hasn't delivered on what he came here to do. However he is playing in a completely different environment. What I mean by this is at Penrith the had TWO players straightening the attack for him in Yeo and Cleary. At the Tigers he has no one doing this. So as a sideways half, which he has always been, he isn't given the platform to play. This is shocking coaching from Benji to not recognise this. On the odd occasion we have had Latu on the field you see our attack completely change. If this wasn't a big enough clue for the coach then I'm afraid we are screwed. We need a middle who naturally plays straight, and a 6 who plays straight. That 6 without doubt us Latu (and yes I know he gets injured all the time) but his back up needs to play a simple role of playing straight. Maybe that's Kurt Falls. Playing straight is EVERYTHING and we have no one who does this. Benji not realising this is costing us a top 8 spot.

I honestly laugh at those who claim Galvin is an elite 6. That is embarrassing for those idiots. He will be an overpaid skinny backrower within 2 years. He has very little natural skill of a half. He even doesn't run with the ball in 2 hands. That's under 12 stuff. I can't wait for him to fail at another club.
Well said

If you look at the draw and the table we absolutely have to be favourites for the spoon

Luai said if he played for us last year we would've made the 8 but with a much better team this year and him in i still see us favourites for the spoon

We have no depth but would still absolutely honestly struggle to beat our reserve grade team

God i hate loyalty

It's the reason I still follow us
Rubbish....we have NQ twice, Titans twice...have you been watching them?
Chuck in all the byes and maybe an upset here or there we should be a long way from the bottom

My observations.

1. We were outmuscled most of the game.
2. Galvin had two errors on the almost winning try. Could have dived 3 metres out from the line and slid over in the wet. When he actually dove he was in the process of trying to plant the ball instead of holding the ball tight to his body and simply falling on it. The process of moving the ball away from his body whilst trying to plant it is what allowed Graham to knock it out. I saw this 4 or 5 times this weekend and don’t understand it. These are the 1% plays that people always talk about. If Galvin’s brain is as good as people say he only had to get one of these two things right and we likely win.
3. On Souths last try Seyfarth is watching the dummy half despite not being the A defender. By the time he looks up Arrow has changed his line and it’s too late for Seyfarth to do anything. A really dumb play but it’s something I see throughout the league often.
4. Out kicking game was woeful. Short and long.
5. Bula was very good but it’s obvious opponents always want to kick TK him because he’s a slight frame and not much of a threat on yardage carries.
6. Douhie slows down before hitting the line on yardage carries. Stains hits the line hard despite being 15kg lighter than Douhie.
7. I think we are a shoe in for the bottom 4. No depth and as we lose touch with the 8 we will lose motivation and fall away. Our for and against is already destroyed after last week.
South’s had a game plan to play to our weaknesses and executed it well. We had nothing.
