LIVE GAME Round 12 v Cowboys

Live Game Discussion
If he didn’t want to leave, he wouldn’t be leaving. Just stating a fact.
Yep and it actuslly shows respect for a club that gave him a lifeline from broncos. He’s not kicking stones or disrupting the group. Not dragging g it through the media.

You would find a negative in Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny.
He is right though.

Offence is a form of defence. The longer you hang on to that pill, you deny scoring opportunities to the opposition. There's nothing inherently wrong with playing footy like that but you need to make sure with that possession you're scoring points too. We've been thereabouts in pretty much all games we've lost this year and the difference was not being able to convert our possession and field position into points. We did it last night and the Cowboys were never in the game as a result.

You are right, and history shows that the Dragon's golden era ran until the end of the unlimited tackle era.

They just held the ball and steam rolled the opposition and the end of their 11 year supremacy coincided with the end of the unlimited tackle rule in the 60's.

Oh piss off you stupid old sook.
That wasn’t negative, it is reality and something they can work on over the next 2 weeks.
Lots of positives but there were negatives.

The two almost cut out intercepts and brooks forward pass could very easily have changed the game earlier in the match. First cows try seemed way too easy for them too.

The opposition was poor and let us go to them in attack. Made it easy for us. Hats off the tigers capitalized. Their body language and team harmony is what impresses me, even with the blokes who are leaving. 🐅

It is very clear that our defence has two weaknesses…
We struggle to defend an error and our goaline defence inside our 20 is soft.
Everything else you can do to limit the opposition scoring we are doing. Almost every game this year we have won the possession tug of war and have done so through higher completion rates than our opposition. We have also generally enjoyed higher field position percentages in opposition territory. Even when we’re playing poorly, teams were not blowing us away as they were struggling to cover the territory required to enter our red zone. Once they did though, usually through an error - and even last night it happened, we give up easy tries.

Like you said, if our attack was clicking a bit better earlier this year, we would be on 6 or 7 wins. Once we fix our structures and techniques on the goal line and get over the psychological barrier of defending an error at our end, we will be tough to beat because we already are doing everything else to a high standard to ensure it’s hard to pile points on us.

Oh please! Give me a break ….. you looking for a perfect game or player performance then you’re not going to find it in the NRL.
Just enjoy the moment and don’t ….. we are at beginning of a rebuild and players will need that sort of performance to build up their confidence.

It’s hard to articulate in a single written post. I have repeatedly posted how happy I am with the team spirit since preseason. How good our new recruits are. How good Twal has been playing etc.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m stoked. But I was stoked how we played last week against a then form side. Yet many posters on here bashing on how we couldn’t attack in the 20 and lambasting brooks about it. We really took it to the bunnies. I like critiquing and discussing our performances and it’s not personal.
