LIVE GAME Round 13 v Cowboys

Live Game Discussion
He gets good finally after three years of being a passenger, and then he turns into glass,,,, it’s always something isn’t it ?
Did he get it when the player was coming across , or when he put the ball down . I couldn’t work it out . It was clearly a corky . They hurt soo much … pain wise you’d rather do an ACL … you know except for the fact one heals in a day and the other a year … Corks are painful

I know what you are saying but it happens to all teams. We cant constantly blame refs. The problems are deeper than ref decisions,
True....we need to be even better than other teams re: the refs....its been so long we really rarely get the rub of the green I feel the refs subconsciously treat us harsher...may be biased I dunno...but we need to control oursels and take the refs out of it, we done it this year already

I just want players that will compete on every single play....out two young guys Mason & Sukkar could teach some of the others a thing or two...fight for everything, fight in every tackle, fight for a quick ptb...too often I dont see this

As for our making it up as we go along attack...too often its catch n pass with no one still knowing whats happening...Benji? Youve had a while now and its still happening

Bro a bit harsh on twal! He played like 10 minutes . It was nil all when he went off .
Wasn’t even thinking about today’s game.
But, as long as you mention it, we lost nothing with his departure. The guy has zero positive impact.

Unfortunately it won’t be a one off

I think the middle would have been tighter .
Getting those 2 sent off just killed us man . Drinkwater and Deardon just went into touch footy mode .its frustrating , because I genuinely think if we just controlled our aggression , and executed today , and really last game against Souths , we’d be 7 and 5 right now instead of the other way around

We're talking how sin bins stuffed us, the scoreline with 13 v 13 and how a few injuries and 50/50 calls didn't go out way...

We've done this before.

The game is won when you face adversity and respond to it. Every team has their share of it, not every team concedes heaps of tries when down a man, in fact when we have the man advantage it feels like it often goes the other way.

Those moments are about being physical in the tackle, being tactical and smart, lifting even more.

This team hasn't demonstrated that resilience yet, and in fact they have looked a fair way off that in significant periods of their recent matches.

When looking at the game, there's no point making excuses. How did we cope when the momentum was against us? We wilted.

I think there's a football team in this squad, but there were so many dumb plays and so many soft tackles and so much that felt familiar from years past.
Well said
Dumb plays and soft tackles, and also soft hit- ups....we need to compete on every tackle of every set, attck and D....

Toa is a gun . He looked like got a cork on his thigh , and got needled at half time . When got stepped inside just after halftime , it looked like he had no power off that leg . I wonder if the needle was affecting his lateral movement .
The fans have been crying out for a strike centre for a decade. Finally we have one who isn't putting bets on his opposing centre.

Toa?
I think it was knee on knee

Just checked it was Bloody Ashly Klien in the bunker that explains the overrule on the no try Nania call, thought it looked like something he would have his hands on

I wont be cutting my wrists at this stage. Just stating facts which you have difficulty with.
What fact ? What are you talking about ? I couldn’t be anymore pragmatic about that game . Their il discipline , and lack of resilience allowed a weaker team to beat them tonight . . Including luai being sent off .
I just think it could have been handled better re. The ref . I’m allowed to hyper focus on 1 incident ? Or do I have to have 1 opinion and that’s it ?
Tigers suck ? The teams shit ? The refs are amazing and it’s just the tigers suck ? Or can I be nuanced and balanced and have opinions of different things that happen at different times ?
You tell me ?

You could live with them both as depth players …it’s a problem when they are in the starting side every game though,,,
They’re both on 500k plus … I like them both (cue Batman’s parent trying to crucify me). But I like them competing for the 17th spot in a squad not in the starting pack .

20 now? didn’t you use this same argument an hour ago using 10 as your figure?
MY argument?
Lol
I am assuming these idiots expect the club to magically just have a whole new roster in 12 months. So if it's 10 or 20 players they want I don't know

Your easily pleased.Recruited 6 players, 3 of which are decent but does not have ability to turn this club around. Defence is still ordinary and will result in team failing to improve on the ladder.
I agree culture is better thanks to Penrith boys.
I live in reality not a fantasy world.

How many do you think a club can realisticslly recruit in one off season, considering we won the spoon the previous 3 season?
