LIVE GAME Round 17v Manly

Live Game Discussion
Constantly releasing players early bites us every time we have an injury.

It bit us when we lost Pole with no Klemmer to call on.

It’s biting us now when we have to move Api to half when we released Galvin early.

I have no doubt if we let TDS go early it will bite us within 3 weeks.

Every year we let players in our top 30 go but don’t replace them. I said this before, the only explanation is we can’t afford to replace them.
Or no one wants to come

Jarome Luai is out of Friday’s clash against Manly as he deals with a boil on his chest.

Luai did not feature at Thursday’s captain’s run at Concord, and when asked about the co-captain’s absence, coach Benji Marshall told this masthead he was simply resting because of the heavy workload – and the fact he was about to play a third game in nine days.

Adan Doueihi slotted into five-eighth alongside new halfback Latu Fainu and Luke Laulilli trained at left centre.

But Api Koroisau is expected to move into the halves against Manly, with Tallyn Da Silva to start at dummy-half.

Marshall spoke a day earlier about why the club were keen to extend Koroisau, 32, ahead of 20-year-old Da Silva who has since met with four rival clubs – and is a chance of departing the Tigers by Monday’s transfer deadline.

Luai is being treated for a boil, which is not expected to impact his chances of taking the park for NSW in the Origin decider on July 9.

This is getting interesting. Api to halves could be a smokescreen thrown at Hooper. But if they did captain's run with AD in the halves & Luke Laulilii at left centre, that could be the scenario.

Anyway Benji will live or die by his selection decision here.

Personally, Api & Latu in the halves, TDS at hooker & Luke at fullback, Mason off bench. TDS & Luke combined brilliantly in NSW Cup recently.

Personally would like to see AD & Latu given AD has the most experience in the halves out of everyone in our team (without Luai).

Hopefully it’s enough of a blindside that the club sees sense and tells tds to wait until November . We simply don’t have the roster depth .

Ink are you on the drink already mate? 😂

Two Suttons and a Badger, Manly on the ropes with DCE and Turbo still in the side, Seibold’s job on the line, playing at Brookie without Luai (our greatest motivator on the field) and Bula our top notch fullback - the odds are completely stacked against us. If we win this tonight, it will be the greatest miracle since Moses’ parting of the Red Sea!

Will make the win even sweeter

Or neither.. and that we are more selective as to who we bring in and make sure it's a purposeful signing e.g KPP..
I enjoy that direction the narrative has taken concerning this guy.
Last year and early this year his occassional nickname on here was Kai Piss Poor. I always thought it a tad harsh but accurate nonetheless.
Now weve signed him, youd be mistaken for thinking a prime Gaz was on his way.

sincerely hoping it isn't Laulili'i at left centre marking Turbo. that's developmental suicide.

I can't take responsibility for what others opinions have been but he fits a similar mould that Samuela is and I can see him complimenting our right edge...

KPP hasn't had much opportunity by the way of poor service at Newcastle. They are a team who's halves have changed god knows how many times in this year. My mates who are knights fans all blame their halves for the bulk of their issues this year.
