Well if Madden is going to take on the dummy half role at some stage let's hope he emulates another one of our former players in Billy Walters.

I think the intent of the rule is to keep players in position as much as possible. Not good if you’re a utility player really. If an outside back goes down early, Skelton goes in and no change required in the halves.

I think they mentioned they didn’t like seeing forwards put out wide and getting found out, ruining games.

Drinkwater is their biggest dangerman as far as I'm concerned. He needs to be shut down, he's a freak. He seems to like playing the wests Tigers and if he did have a bad game in Vegas he'll be hell bent on having a blinder.

When he’s off though , he’s literally a liability . Only happens 2-5 times a year though . He’s a goldfish which means he will always keep coming . Even if it’s to his teams detriment . A poor man’s Munster . Joel Caine called him the Gunslinger a couple of years ago and I thought that was the most accurate nickname ever .

I think his running game is what you need to stop (easier said than done). If you do that he starts throwing wild passes.

Who is spelling Twal or is he now an 80 minute 13? Madden and Skelton are sensible back cover and I guess Skelton could fill an edge if we were desperate.

I said ages ago it wouldn't surprise me if Doueihi moves to 13 and Madden to 7 at some stage.

Yea exactly . He gets frustrated and goes for the Hail Mary . He’s kind of like Benji circa 2008 re. Rocks and diamonds . But obviously no where near as good , the Benji highs were much higher .
Anyways we know exactly who and what he is . He’s not sneaking up on anyone .

market seems to be at 120% some shortening seems likely. Basically the bookies seem to frame the market blowing with toa out. Is he that big a loss.

Think tigers might get out to $1.75, confidential we get te job done at Leichardt

Correct, but the alternate is to shift AD and use Madden if that was the case. If you aren't carrying Skelton and there are no backline injuries early you have better flexibility in your forward rotation. The smart coaches will be siuing this to their advantage - a half and outside back in the mix is a safe bet that denies you the additional flexibility.

Unless AD or Luai or an outside back go down that requires a halves reshuffle I don't want to see Madden on the park. Api not playing 80 already impacts our middle rotation so we really only have three to rotate and one of those is an impact player. Hope may well be used in the rotation apart from Api as he is cetainly fit enough and him running about as a 13 in the trial may be how he will be employed.

you dont change the 6 and 7 unnecessarily...I see this suggestion often it gives me a headache

It’s definitely a balancing act.

I’m okay with a tactic that leaves your spine intact if you do get an outside back injury.

How the game plays out will influence whether Benji cops flak or not.

If he plays we need to hit him hard in the chest early, no way he won’t be playing with a needle and any hit could make the pain over power the needle effects.
