LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

Live Game Discussion
I was Luai's biggest critic when he was lairing at Penrith (the best man speech at To'o's wedding was an abominable trainwreck)

But he has grown into an inspirational and inclusive leader who has an outstanding work ethic & football IQ - enabling him to set a standard through both words and deeds!

All the stats critics need to wake up to yourselves!

A few points that I took note of during the game.

- the short drop out by the tigers was dumb when we had the wind behind us. We should have been kicking the ball as far down field as possible.. it led to a Titans try..

- I notice pole was pushed off in an attempted tackle down our right side defence, which opened it up and led to A try a play or two later

- Luai gave yet another dumb penalty tackling a Titans player after he kicked it (I haven't seen the replay of this though)

- Titans got a penalty on the 4th tackle for tigers "holding down".. it was literally the same as every other tackle in the game.

- I'll eat my words on Taylan not being ready, the bloke is fire . It made Luai look alot better too.. that edge is going to be fire next year

- I felt sorry for Charlie.. one of his worst games ever... Usually hes solid...

- I'm never not stressed at a tigers game 🤣🤣

Especially dumb was the line drop out when you consider we have the shortest wingers in the game.

I hate the ‘new’ trend of going short on line drop outs. It rarely ever works out for the defending team and it just puts them under more defensive pressure close to the line. I especially hate it when they do this with a good wind at their backs, just bloody kick it to buggery and make the opposition work to get field position.

There is a place for short line drop outs, but teams are doing it too much for very little reward and often to their own detriment as was evident today.

They didn't think... They had the breeze behind their back...

We were incredibly lucky in the 2nd half when Campbell dropped out.. We got the bounce of the ball into Terrell's hands...that could have easily gone 70 metres..
