We aren’t versing the Man United equivalent though

Roosters are the Man City of the NRL
 
Maybe two possibilities:

1. Roosters are complacent and it's a tough match - the Tigers script in this situation is the team choking and snatching defeat from the jaws of an unlikely victory, which commentators call a "brave" loss.

2. Roosters are not complacent. That's my cue to watch a movie.
 
The forum is no go straight after a bad loss for me. I get a much more objective response from non Tigers fans who are sympathetic to the cause and can see this disparity in the sides/ clubs.
I'm or too well aware of why we are where we are and sometimes coming on here getting it further drummed just reinforces the despair.

You should have a thick skin by now mate following this club, the meltdown by some can extreme though, beer and emotions can be a bad mix.
 
I really think the team and forum are both reflective of the other in the mindset that we just want this season to end.

Seriously, has any sporting team in history given hope and then destroyed morale each season like Wests Tigers?

As @Garrry said, the most disappointing thing for me is early season they were ferocious in defence and so good to watch.

I've supported the Tigers/Balmain for over 40 years, and while I just have to watch every game (like the morbid allure of a train wreck), I don't think I've ever had this low a level of interest in them. Ever.

I'm not the type who is in a bad mood for hours after a loss (thank god!), nor do the tigers have too big a factor in my identity.

There are way more important things in life than sport. But bloody hell....

Supporting a sporting team is a weird thing: I chose them when I was a kid simply because I like tigers. You just choose for whatever random reason (or family) and you can never change. You just can't!

I'm convinced every one of us tigers supporters had very bad, very evil previous lives, and this is our punishment.
