What a monumental stuff up by the NRL, Channel 9 and Fox Sports for scheduling our game on the Saturday night.
 
On the other hand it could be a blessing in disguise. Under the radar so to speak. We don't really need the sensationalism.

Why?

If were still in with a chance of the 8 no reason why we should not sell out.

I can't make the game that weekend …. I will happily take fox coverage over ch9 any day.
 
About Time… Been waiting for this to be released so I can book Flights & Accom. 4 weeks out is rediculous!!!

Wests v Melbourne at Leichhardt oval sat night happened in 2010 i think. TV scheduling has been a thorn in WT side for years now… Espec with Monday night games

On a related note, does anyone know the schedule for Week 1 of the finals?

Will it still be 1 x Friday, 2 x Saturday and 1 x Sunday? And which games go when?

Thanks LaT! Given the way the ladder looks with the two Queensland teams in 6th and 7th, and that we'll finish in that same bottom half (should we make it), I'm not looking forward to a roadtrip on the Saturday night.

Finals Week 1 is:

Friday
1st V 4th

Saturday
5th V 8th
6th V 7th

Sunday
2nd V 3rd
 
Hate the channel 9 Sunday replay game with all the adds. Storm have the Monday night game week prior so shorter turn around . Bring it on

What are we basing this so-called stuff up on? the fact that they didn't schedule a Leichardt game on a Sunday afternoon, or 9 and Fox didn't think highly enough of us to give us a marquee game? either way x2 what Ink said

A little of both. The scheduling for the whole round seems a bit nuff, especially the continuation of Channel 9's Broncos love affair. The Titans V Manly match could well determine the Top 4 and Top 8, yet Ch 9 opt for a game with no meaning for one side.

Exactly. When did all this rubbish about Leichhardt Oval and Sunday afternoons start? Leichhardt Oval is synonymous with night football with the legacy of the mid week cups. This supposed romantic connection with Sunday afternoons is bemusing.
 
As much as I love the spectacle of Sunday afternoon football logistically Saturday 7:30 is a great timeslot from my perspective
 
Oh and double checking the NSW Cup schedule BRET have been scheduled since the start of the year to take on Wests at Leichhardt 3pm Saturday so three grades in one day
