Pack needs to aim upThey might be NRL class, which is an improvement, but there’s not enough consistency out of the backline to make them top 8 worthy IMO.
Ok, here’s my curve ball for comment.Don't be to disheartened we have a bog average pom coming from the new wooden spooners and jock madden woo hoo
We didn’t look like scoring in that set , they looked disjointed in the 2 nd half , very disappointingMomentum changed when we were on the attack in the red zone, Luai kicked behind the line, it was blocked by a titan's player foot they gathered the ball and score a length of field try. We score in that set, we win the game.
lol it was a failure of a season, but not as big of a failure as the past three years of failure. Those failures were big fails. No one in their right mind had us making the 8.
I had us finishing around this position. I thought with some new players it was achievable, still challenging, but realistic.
We seldom played for 80 mins.
We had the Galvin saga.
We weren’t consistent over the season.
But we all saw something this year. We showed grit and flair.
We became watchable again.
We had some great wins. Some games we should have won. And some we’d rather forget.
I don’t agree that our squad is so much better that we should have finished higher. We brought in some guns, but our team is still a way off top 8, and for us to finish higher our team simply needs more artillery. And experience together.
Was it a failure of a season? Well, we missed the 8. So yes it’s a failure for me.
But it was not as much of a failure as recent seasons. Far from it.
We have to acknowledge the fact we had the most wins in 6 years and this, following 3 years of spoon in a row.
It is not insignificant.
So whether that represents a “huge improvement” to you, or a little improvement, either way it’s something.
Potential.
This team can build on that.
And they must.
Ok, here’s my curve ball for comment.
Was Madden signed coz Benji has been quietly advised that Luai may, and I said may, activate his exit clause ?
Otherwise it’s a very strange decision ( for both parties ).
Where is he going to go?Ok, here’s my curve ball for comment.

You don’t give them enough opportunities when you have rookie tackle zero errors from guys like Seyfarth & Pole. They might be NRL class, which is an improvement, but there’s not enough consistency out of the backline to make them top 8 worthy IMO.
Our missed tackles first half were good. What was concerning live was our first contact. It was soft as butter. The difference between this game and the Raiders game was poles apart. There were real worrying signs all game. We were missing tackles at an alarming rate
It’s Benji’s faultCouldn’t be stuffed watching the press conference. Can anyone give a summary?
We're a right centre away from our backs being NRL class. To'a is a massive liability. He was awful tonight. His defence is worse than Douehi's ever wasThere’s plenty of positives in my opinion. Our backs are now NRL class and our pack is young. We lack hard men who opponents fear. Remains to be seen if it’s coachable or we just need to rebuild the pack. Trust Richo is well aware of this.
I agree but I have Makasini going to centre and Skelton back in.We're a right centre away from our backs being NRL class. To'a is a massive liability. He was awful tonight. His defence is worse than Douehi's ever was
Watching the game getting to half time I was feeling really good thinking how good where going to lap them.
Then the 2nd half unfolded I was shocked, just shocked it was deja vu of the cowboy's game when is the team going to F learn.
I think it's lack of depth in those games off the bench meaning the like of Terrell was gassed. Mason, Sukkar and To'a are miles from NRL players and when all on the field cause us to capitulateIt is shocking to see those two games and how they folded … something is off
Said he’s trained them hard, so that’s on him, and it showed tonight. Sorry but don’t buy it, but he’s proud of them for blowing a good lead, not scoring a point in the second half, and losing again just like v Cowboys, Raiders etc etc etc. It’s Benji’s fault
Think this and the Cowboys game was a matter of them having an overinflated sense of their abilities, thinking they have done the hard work against a team lower than them on the ladder and taking the foot off the gas...Watching the game getting to half time I was feeling really good thinking how good where going to lap them.

Has a good game followed by 6 weeks of being a passengerWe're a right centre away from our backs being NRL class. To'a is a massive liability. He was awful tonight. His defence is worse than Douehi's ever was
