So did our forward pack. They were not out played at all.
But were let down by an incompetent backline.
In both attack and defence.

The fact we are placing Bula in that category given he hasn’t starred in a game in 2 years is crazy

Our forward pack absolutely dominated the Rabbitohs pack and we still couldn’t win

That’s a spine/attack coach issue

Benji should be insisting, INSISTING, [Luai-Doueihi or Madden] that when in the red zone the backline should stand very deep so when they get the ball they are at top speed. And the fullback is the extra man to confuse the defenders.
And that is the halves job to get them there. Do it Benji!

Last night's game showed the team can win momentum for most of the game, problem was converting it into points.

Whether or not there were bad calls that gave the bunnies easy momentum when it wasnt deserved, even still the tigers had enough chances on the bunnies line to do damage.......but they didn't.

Thats the area of improvement needed, just need to capitalize on the chances we get. Not running 4 plays as hit ups on the opposition goal line then kicking, thats not going to win games

That's not that bad an idea actually. He is showing speed and could create a headache for the defence and his offloads from smaller defenders. Opposition coaches would have no idea how to nullify the new kid on the block. Worth a thought.
Madden the half manager, kicker and goal kicker, perfect combo?

It should be Maddens job this week to try and organise our attack,it will be a big job but at least he is a genuine half back.Our depth for the backline this week will be fully stretched.C'est la vie.

Throw him Luai’s jersey for a few weeks. Simple instructions, feed the backline and support play.

Bula needs to be told to trail every ball carrier at speed to hit an offload near the advantage line … same with Douhei,,, they are always standing back as if they are organising the next magic play except they are not even doing that.. so frustrating because at leichardt the week before everyone was trailing through in support… seriously looked like Douhei was on Valium last night,, or he thought he was playing touch football ….especially compared to his previous games

We were headless chooks in our attack , no idea when it mattered and we need a traditional ball playing half , A D is not a half in my opinion

The half's foremost job is to be the manager! IE. A voice that controls the kicking, backline positions, kick chasers etc.
What comes after that is a bonus. Speed, step etc.
At the moment we lack both.

Multiple times the backline depth wasnt there and players were almost at a stand still receiving the ball. I dont blame luai and douhei for that.

Who do you blame?
They are supposed to be our leaders------running the show-------part of the spine.

Perhaps,, 🤔 but if so then Madden should have played because there is not enough ability difference that Douhei possesses over jock that Douhei playing injured is a good option.. Our forwards were all over them last night, but in attack on the line all we seemed to have is 4 hit ups a crash play and then an inept kick.. it was chaotic and not impressive for an NRL team that trains full time especially with the talent we have that was not effectively used

Yeah if AD wasn’t giving it everything he should of put his hand up.

Since the update its been pretty average.

It cut out about 5.times firmme.during our game but rectifies itself...oftem get a BS you are offline mssg come.up
Its getting worse....and if i watch 360 after its started it goes off at 7.30 and its not on the menu.
Itll be my final year with it if its not improved

Interesting pressers from Wayne and Benji. Souths won 4 tries to 2 and Bennett thought they were poor and needed to improve to make any kind of challenge. Tigers lost and Benji was pleased with their play.

Expectations are very different. The reality is I don’t think they are a much better side than we are. Their spine will really find them out when it matters.

I think Benji has been preaching standards around effort and collision and we’ve actually been good in both games. His headache now is our attack.

Madden & Javon looked ok in the trials. Stripped numbers better than our halves did tonight. Hopefully they can do a job until Luai is back.

Agree they went well, but not against an NRL side.
Let's test Madden at least, next week.
