Wakeham is a faster version of Hastings. He looked great. Brooks came good once wakeham came on. AD should never have played, obviously injured and gsve us nothing. We played for 10 minutes and nearly won that game. Bulldogs won’t play finals either this year.

I’m sure Ciraldo would be disappointed.

Made it close at the end but lets be realistic for 60 mins we were beaten, dogs had a switch off at the end and we scored a few. Wouldnt have been a deserved win, just made way too many errors. Start the game how we ended it with abit of urgency and see how we go next week.

I think it’s really important that we don’t lose sight of how terrible we played, despite the comeback.
The first hour was so disjointed and poorly executed that you couldn’t say we had any plan.
An intercept try and some razzle dazzle doesn’t change how crap our fundamentals are in comparison to other teams. There is a real disconnect somewhere along the line that needs to be sorted, post haste.
And with Munster back next Friday it’s not going to get any easier.

I am as cynical as anyone but our line speed in the first half and general forward meterage is much better than last year. We are getting play the balls over the advantage line - a key to winning games of football. Klemmer, Stefano and Twal, who is very frustrating at times, really played pretty well.

Our attacking structures are generally awful but when Douhei stopped getting the ball we visually improved. Still lost, still not great, but are we in better shape to play Melbourne after todays game - probably yes.

Todd, I’m going to Specsavers in the morning, then I’m going to rewatch our games this year v last year to try and identify what you’re saying.
I know I’ve got 70 something year old eyes but I’m not seeing it.
All I saw today was a rabble with a couple of sixth tackle options that made me bury my head in my hands.
I try to be optimistic at all times but I’m just taking my stress medication and going to bed because I’m obviously watching a different game.

Just seen the presser. Api spoke well and didnt appear too down trodden. Sheens reckons he has something to bring up with the refs again. Sheens hinted at more playtime for wakeham.

He also cannot be selected at 6 as his ballplaying is extremely sub standard.
I’d have him at centre personally, with zero license to kick the ball.
Doueihi back to KOE Cup and I doubt we’ll see him again barring injury.

I was hugely critical of signing Wakeham but that's 3 very good displays in a row and a solid display in the Canberra trial, so he has proved me wrong quite badly so far. I'd be rewarding him with the 7 jumper.

I would also throw Tupou at 1. I know he is quiet, but we are crying out for someone who moves like him at 1. Pure footballer.

I guess Brooks plays 6. But gee his passing is so bad.

Only thing with Twal is we have to get someone else trailing Api. It's always Twal who pushes up when Api runs.
