LIVE GAME Round 3 vs. Bulldogs

Live Game Discussion
In watching the game yesterday, we have a lot to work on , but by hell we did some good things too.
We watched the game first WITHOUT the commentary. I then watched the game with the commentary. It appears to me about 1/2 the posters here are happy to put on on the BS blindfold supplied by the commentators instead of actually watching the game & deciding for themselves what is actually happening. I am not Doughie or a Brooks hater. But it’s clear Doughie was not at his best yesterday & his 2 missed tackles both lead to tries. I also note Brooks game after Wakeham came on . That game yesterday could have gone either way, yet if you believe the press the dogs will win the premiership. If that is the case ,and based on that game yesterday, then we are one mistake a game away from being up there too. As we are all disappointed with results so far, it can blind us to where we are improving. We need some work, but getting that right mix in the halves is crucial. I think we are close to cracking it. Also stop eating the BS feed by the media. If you keep eating it, you start to believe it.
What BS are you referring to?
I haven’t seen much media today, is there a heap of untruths being spoken?
Btw, I watched channel nine yesterday and listened to two of the best halves ever sound perplexed as to how our team plays the game.

Tucks, you couldn’t have missed the continual & relentless bagging of the Tigers by the media. For example if one of those halves you speak of in Andrew Johns( the greatest player ever) it’s in his interest to bag the Tigers because he wants Brooks at Newcastle , because while some supporters continue bagging him John’s sees his value. Another example of commentators bagging Doughie for throwing that intercept . If you actually look at the play, Doughie popped a ball off his hip as he expected Toa to run tight through the gap created. Had Toa of done that he was through. Alomoti was clueless, but both outside backs ran wide & Alomoti couldn’t believe his luck . That could have turned out so differently . Doughie could have also thrown a cutout ball as well & it would have been points. The Tigers are close but we just can’t ice those moments. We will .

Toa was running a different line. Whether that was wrong or not is redundant. Doueihi could have turned the ball back inside as as a runner came round behind him, he could have kicked through the line as we had a couple of chasers there steaming through, he could have gone long to the winger or he could have noticed Toa’s changed line and given it earlier. He chose the wrong option, didn’t play eyes up and the rest is history.
Tigers have played well enough, and have had the better rub of the green with the officials to have won all 3 games. We have lacked the class to get it done. Dropping three easier games is concerning as we are about to go into a very tough stretch.

Hey mate , agree with pretty much all you say. My point is media beats it up like we are as bad as we were last year. No so . Clearly you understand the mechanics of the game ,and rightfully point out the genuine mistakes of some players. No disagreement there. It would be good if more of our supporters did that, instead of just blindly believing the BS the media pump out . I believe we are closer than we think. When Wakeum came on , we were a different team . We showed what we can do . That should give all Tigers supporters a reason to be optimistic.
