Our forwards really need to work their butts off for 80 this week...limit their yardage and allow no roll on.
No momentum..no quick ptbs..markers on the ball constantly.
Mamezoulous was quite aharp last week ...looked dangerous at times..played very well

I personally would have switched Tito and Skelton, but apart from that pick and stick is the way to go. While I get the thoughts on lining up a big man on Trell; but defending an edge isn't about a single player. It is a team effort and there will be a plan. The way to stifle their edge is about what is happning inside - once the ball has been shelled out it is about systems. This is probably why Skelton is a straight swap for May as it is the least disruption to the system.

If we lose it will be nice to lose with respect. No chance any team can win every game. Sometimes the weaker team has more hunger. South's have pride. If we beat them it's because they lose it. On paper - they have no excuse to lose this. And for us ( if we can UPSET the trend) - another notch in the belt of confidence, comraderie and cohesion as a unit of mediocrity and off field ( front office) diabolical mayhem moving forward

I will be closely watching how Kai Pearce Paul goes this week with Walker and Latrell running at him. Latrell has been in fine form to start the year, meaning Skelton has his work cut out. KPP can earn his paycheck by shoring up that D line and making good decisions.

Yeah going to be a tough game, if Souths are on we will struggle to contain them.

They may appreciate playing at night after playing in the hot afternoon sun, so that could be a plus.

I'm guessing the concern either way is centre is the hardest place to defend ....both options haven't got a heap of recent experience at centre

Never seen Skelton play centre, but I'd have him there just based on size. Turuva vs Latrell is a mismatch.

If we worry about ourselves we will be fine. We've troubled these same players plenty of times even when we were winning spoons. Mitchell has a massive dogshot count against us, if we bring our A game they will start trying to rattle our guys and probably implode. If we dont bring our A game we might get smashed, welcome to NRL 2026. It will be the same every week until the refs settle and teams have 6 or 8 rounds.
