Yep think a few of our fans probably need to read a bit less of the media coming out.

disappointing loss but the strengths are still there, our forwards hurt the opposition, big powerful backs and spark with Bula. Few line ball selection calls Benji made that have probably turned out to be incorrect, but Madden doesnt fix some of the poor defence today.

It’s tough to put a million dollar origin rep in reserve grade but wow, Luai has got to step up. Tough loss, those final three minutes in the first half and Makasini forgetting how to catch a pass. First one was clearly Bula trying to avoid contact but he should be used to people throwing dumb passes to him after last week.

I've supported Luai all this time, despite a lack of on field impact, but tonight he was invisible.

A frustrating game, no doubt. You gotta win these ones when you have so much possession, just like Souths.

That was an Adam Reynolds masterclass. That was a champion team showing why they're champions. Composure and execution.

The pressure is gonna be applied to Luai and it should. That is not leadership, especially with Makasini, nor organisation in attack. I'd be filthy if I were the forward pack.

My saving grace is that we are a work in progress and have come so far from this time last season defensively. Our attack now needs to be better. We have lost 2 games by a combined 3 points.

Makasini is 18 and very good for his age. But games like tonight are why so few 18 year olds play NRL and why teams that play those guys don't win much. Tbh there's a strong argument he's been better than Jeral and Luke L.

If our coaching staff reacted the way some on this forum have tonight, we wouldn't be able to field a team. On Makasini, you're criticising an 18 year old kid, who is being heavily marked because he is clearly talented. Broncos were hungry to prove everyone wrong and came out to play. Yes, I agree our attack was clunky, but Brisbane's defence was solid tonight and there was a lot of lying in the ruck. I've seen a slowing of play across this round and I'd imagine they are tweaking the six again rule to slow it up a bit

Let’s not forget Makasini’s first drop was off a stupid pass by Bula, who presumably had a dud shoulder and was seeking to avoid contact. However, if Bula wanted to pass that ball, he had to do it much earlier, not at the line. That error set in motion a chain of events that would cost us the game.

If our reserve grade team had Staggs, Mam, Reynolds, Willison, Haas and Shibasaki I reckon we’d be in with a shot of winning that comp.
