Lucky? How?. Our attack was bottom 4 at best. Defence in the middle was good but in the backs they made alot of metres on the edges.

They have 6 players out and we couldn't win. Any other full strength team would of put more tries on us

They still had Mam and Reynolds and the rest of their backs including Haas. Broncos still got quality depth that would in the starting side of most teams.

Jarome Luai is such a good player, worth $1.2 million a season. The way our attack just completely disappeared his first game back is merely coincidence. The hopping then changing directions side to side completely killing any momentum in our attack for the last 2 years is behind him. Getting to equal 1st on the ladder had nothing to do with Jock Madden. Jarome Luai is a better player than Jock Madden and is worth $1.2 million a season. He told Benji he's okay to play reserve grade because he has full confidence that he's a better player than Jock Madden. The way our attack lost all of its shape is a coincidence, unlucky loss against half a reserve grade side. Let's blame Makasini for this loss.

I get we are frustrated, but with Maka not making those mistakes, we win that game. Same game plan out work the opp. Tonight we had more basic mistakes than we have had in months.

Ad was picked to be half it needs to happen Benji panicked and put jock on. Jock has been good for us but people are talking like he is the 2nd coming. Luai's first game back in ages looked rusty, but to say jock should start over him is an emotional reaction.

Our two loses have been paniful but hardly burn it down.

We have only been beaten by a total of 3 points in two games. That shows we still have a really good shot at a final4 spot.

The boys will be kicking themselves, they'll learn from & lift for the next game.
It's still great to see just how much our boys have improved & if we get lucky with injuries.

Hate to be harsh, but it was a bit embarrassing of us to lose that one. With 3 mins to go, kicking a field goal should have been priority. Especially after Reynolds kicked one with 10 mins or so to go

You have listed reasons we lost but by far the biggest reason was our red zone attack. If we could score in our red zone by passing we wouldn’t need Tavana on the wing to save us with his acrobatics.

That's what I meant about enthusiasm, they didn't have that spark & play that flamboyant style they have been in previous weeks, missing Jock didn't help either.
I can see the media asking why Jock wasn't given more game time.

I’m starting to wonder whether our best halves paring is Madden and Latu. Both play direct at speed and Latu is a run/pass threat. At present Douhie and Luai go theselves a lot, shuffle sideways, and/or are a bit slow/ clunky which allows the defence to slide and cover the outside men quite easily.
