Madden back at 7, Doueihi at 6. A combination that works!
Luai cannot play any other position other than 5/8 and even at 5/8 his stepping and dodging is not conducive to fluent attacking football. It's not every time he has the ball----but too often. A disjointed attack.
His teammates stop because they do not know what he is going to do next. Speed in attack disappears.
Benji needs to take up his offer and place him elsewhere.
IMO, Winning combinations outweigh the dollars Luai is on.

You could argue having a proper 7 allowed AD to flourish, Luai could be even better with a 7 beside him. We've seen it at Penrith and no im not saying Jock is comparable to Cleary.
I think AD to centre with a license to float and run like a second 6 in attack is where we will eventually land i just hope it doesnt take us too long.

Here's hoping Benji was experimenting early season. Maybe he tries Jock with Luai next week to see how that goes. I think he learned a valuable lesson yesterday re Jock, at least I hope he did.

At the 17:44 mark in 1st half video clearly shows Doueihis right hand on back of Willison neck with ball and arm on ground which used to be called a tackle. How come bunker did not bother to check as it is obviously a NO try when the score was 8 nil to wests tigers.

Or if he sticks with Luai, Doubie is a much better 6 at the moment than Luai. Luai’s played 3 games this season won 1 lost 2.
I know bunji won’t drop Luai, but he really should until injury or form drops. I reckon Luai coming off the bench would spark the team up, then doubie slots into lock.

No way it should happen. Luai hasn't been given the chance at 6 with a proper 7 like Doueihi has so you cant compare them at all. If Luai has the 7 he should have, and struggles, well then you can compare. But at the moment, Doueihi is a major issue in Luai's form and Luai shouldn't be punished for that.

Reflecting on last night I don't think the result really told us anything new. The positives are still there, as are the weaknesses and we are a team that is good enough to finish in the bottom half of the 8. Felt similar to the Parra and Souths games in many ways.

Its a really frustrating result as 3 or 4 of these types of losses end up being the difference in the year.

It won’t happen anytime soon, but our best side will be Madden 7, Luai at 6, Douhie 13, Twal starting prop, Pole into rotation with Hunt, SFainu, Latu Fainu

If Luai is to partner Madden in the halves, he needs to play much straighter. Otherwise he disrupts the structure of the backline.

This is definitely what it is. Had a massive cry about the orange home jersey earlier in the year and made Richardson walk out. Even though we're the Tigers we have to wear our white away jersey at Campbelltown to make the Magpie cry babies in the board room happy.
