TEAM LIST Round 9 vs. Panthers

Team List
Simpkin needs minutes in Cup. we can't keep throwing him on for five minutes at the death and expecting results. Matamua in his place for this week ideally and Blore for Talau. disappointing that Staines and Kepaoa are out given we would've seen the full strength backline for the first time, but its all part of the business.

we HAVE to target Penrith's left edge. Luai, Peachey and Turuva. they will leak points.

Nofoaluma again...seriously...can finish a try opportunity but we aren't creating too many of those this year. How many metres sideways will he run? Will he have more than 6 runs this time? How many teammates will get pointed at? All questions that would not have to be asked if he was playing reserve grade.

Problem this week is Penrith are fantastic at defending their line against teams with really good attack so defending their line against the "clunky " tigers should be easy
Peachy at centers so after reading pages of abuse he copped each week from many on this forum it will leave some red-faced if he scores against us

We create very little in attack, however a quick fix is to make sure we put bombs in the air long enough so our outside backs can get pressure on fb and wingers. The times we've done that this year have resulted in drop ball and opportunities. We very rarely get good cross-field kicks in either. If we jag 1-2 tries that way, surely confidence will start to grow.

Cherry-evans, cross-field kick to Saab is hardly one for the highlight reel...we need more higher-percentage plays similar to that..not 3-4 runarounds in an attacking set on their line.

That backline is gash without Chuck and Kepaoa there.

Would prefer Matamua get a spot on the bench over one of Ofa or Twal, and Blore in over Talau.

Would be nice to see Simpkin get minutes this week, if he's going to do a 30 sec cameo may as well put another foward on the bench.
I gather you think Kepoa is strong center defensively? Do you watch the games ?

Are you saying we should pick team based on the fact that we don't create many try opportunities ? How about getting the team to create a lot more try opportunities
Got to admit over the last couple of years being a Tigers winger is very frustrating if the ball ever gets to you its with no overlap and 2 defenders ready to crunch you once you catch the hospital pass
