Royce's roundup

G'day all, just finished watching Royce's round up on the wests tigers web site, something struck me as something the tigers need to change, Royce mentioned that it's like a buisness when it's not going well thing's have to change, in my opinion i agree we can start with him, iv got no doubt he's a champion bloke and larrakin, but i dont rate him as a coach, more importantly he was speaking about thing's we've seen in the shark's attack and defence we need to keep an eye on. I'm so dissapointed the way i see it the good team's dont focus on the opposition they focus on themselves. Because they know when they they defend and attack right the opposition can do what they want it really does'nt matter, why are the coaching staff so worried about what our opposition are going to do. If we weekly change our attack and defence to suit our opponent's then we really dont have any structure, it's just changing every week. And the defensive thing's Royce was talking about were thing's the lad's should be focusing on week in and week out anyway. Wrapping the ball up, keeping a shallow defensive line for the offload's, our problem at the moment is us, that's who we need to focus on, i know it's harder with injury but still i think even the younger guy's would benefit by a more self concious approach to our weekly preparation, i just can't see how our team benefit's by worrying about what the opposition are going to do when we at the moment cant even get the simple stuff right. What do you all think ?

Liltiger ,not every team has the same weakness so sides have to find the team they are playing weaknesses and then exploit them

If we have a strong left side attack and the opposition has a strong right side defence ,it is no use spending 80 minutes attempting to break it down when their left side defence is garbage

You need to be able to adjust your game plan weekly , and the side that can do that best and defend the oppositions attack will usually win the premiership

Thats the problem with the Tigers defensively , we have so many weaknesses across the board clubs don't really need to change their strengths which actually makes it harder for us every week

I'm sure a team's game plan changes week on week depending on the relative strengths and weaknesses of the two teams. However, the bulk of the game plan probably stays the same. It is just a few things that the players would need to focus extra attention on doing.

When Robbie was on Sterlo, he mentioned he reads the game plan over and over again. They get the game plan mid week. One would assume if the game plan was the same, it wouldn't need to be read and reread over and over again. Just from that snippet of footage it led me to believe it is rather indepthly constructed around the opposition.

yes he had to read it a few times at least. wow..what ,,do we have moves like the NFL. All Farah has to do is play his normal game ,pick up the ball , run forward and look for support. If he cant remember that he's in trouble.

He's an idiot.

The more time we spend trying to debate over deadwood like Royce, moltzen, Lawrence etc the less time and energy we have to move forward and get the right people on board.

Stop debating and bloody cull.
