Ruck Problems

We seem to have issues keeping opposing teams down in tackles and they always look to be making quicker play the balls. I've noticed it a lot of late, i dont know if its a chronic issue but its as if we're still playing 2005 style with the quick play the balls, only thing we're giving it to the other teams and we're not getting it in return. We really need to muscle up more in the tackles and hold them down more, its killing our defence.

The only bloke who is hitting hard every time he tackles is Gareth Ellis. The rest of the forwards might hit hard occasionally, but they are not hunting as a pack and striking any fear into the opposition.

According to the Fox Sports commentators Sheens told the players at half time to turn the Knights on their backs and keep them on the ground as long as possible. Must have gone in one ear and out the other coz I didn't see much of it!!

Part of it is attitude. The other part is reff perception. We got a fair few semi dominant tackles but were told to move far too quickly

Tigers rarely put opposing players on their backs. This has been an ongoing issue for years. Oppositions often put Tigers players on their backs.
It's only that split second which makes the big difference.
