I don't blame Ricky at all for it. Game against the Cowboys aside, we've been pretty poor in attack and lack creativity. They only conceded once down to 12. They didn't have many issues holding us out on the line all game.
Teams will continue to do this to us until we can make them pay. How many times did we get the ball to Starford To'a against Harley Smith Shields? Smith-Shields was dropped from first grade for being awful in defence and yet To'a got early ball what? Maybe 2 or 3 times against him. One of those occasions he makes a clean break, the other one it takes 4 or 5 guys to stop him and we then have a huge overlap down the left.
We really need better game management out of our halves in identifying these things.

Those extra 20 seconds would've allowed that stupid last play we ran to go on and we still would've had time to setup for a field goal.

Was I the only one who saw Api go right continually and even hog it and make mistakes rather than go to Brooks on the left. It wasn't the halves that were the issue last night.
We went left way too much if anything I thought, at least early. Apart from a few decent runs from Brooks we looked pretty uninspiring down the left. Our most dangerous players right now are Bateman and To'a who are on the right so they should be getting more ball.

Bateman was playing in the middle for a chunk of the game. To'a is a beast. They read those right hand plays way too easily.
Brooks made a great bust that got us up the park.
I honestly think if Brooks is more involved and it was Api's fault that he wasn't we win that game. We also win if IP doesn't stuff up and Bula didn't make a couple of mistakes.
I think our attack and specifically Api's role in our attack needs the most work. I thought Brooks and Wakeham were really good.

Watch the game again. It was obvious. He came up with some bad options.
