Rumour - Mahe to Debut

Indifferent is how I feel about his overall game today. Would probably lean towards MWZ returning on the basis of him being a great team man and his one percent work.

You and kull are really bad judges.

Let's be honest.
MWZ is an honest toiler lacking any real spark or aggression… in other words a great back up if someone gets hurt.
Fonau may have the odd silly mistake in him (like just about every other player in the team) buts adds the grunt we need.
A few more games in firsts will do him, and us, the world of good.

The point being ck?

Why not switch Fonua to the RW and MWZ plays on the left?

I agree…. I moved to the edge of my seat in anticipation every time he got the ball....
I also quietly prayed 'don't drop it'.
Not many in our team can break tackles

This is the sensible option unless Tui is back and Thompson on the wing

yeah our back 3 is not settled….I like Thompson at fullback...but that means Lolohea is wasted in ISP....We need Lolohea's spark in attack....

Would be hard to drop him now.

He was bought to play first grade, chipped away at getting back up to NRL standard, made the team, played ok.

You would think he would be there until he proves otherwise now.

Thompson's only small but he gives his all. I agree with Ink, Geo and CB, he is my preferred fullback and Tui will have to put on a blinder to usurp him.

Mahe did his job well and should stay. I was one of the doubters re errors and handling but he silenced me pretty quick.

You would be weakening the side by dropping Fonua for Tui to return.

Thompson while a good finisher and great ticker, is better suited at fullback where he is safe under the high ball, reliable defender, runs hard at the line on kick returns, is somewhat elusive and popped up in support on the weekend for which he bagged a four and twenty.

Fonua does what is expected of a modern winger. Granted he wasn't tested too much in defence as Pawwa went down Nofos wing all arvo but he had an impressive debut in FG for Wests. Shades of TNT about him.

I thought he'd have more errors in him as he has been a liability in state up but when he hangs on to it he brings alot of value to the team.

The way he fights in tackles and doesn’t just lay down and play the ball invites penalties against the defenders too… picked up atleast one on the weekend... love the guy, just wants to fight in every hit up.
