Jeez your a hard marker. He's given Souths credibility by throwing money and resources at what was really a very broken brand. He's separated, has two young kids and probs spends most of his waking hours talking to family lawyers. There'd be the not insignificant question of living arrangements for his boys and I suspect, as a decent father, he wants to focus on that and the settlement. He doesn't owe Souffs or their supporters anything

No dispute in what you are saying there CT… I just don't understand why he doesn't just come out and saying he's had enough of tipping $$ into Souths and leave it at that.... To link the reason to his family issues I just can't see the connection... It's not as if Rusty spends much time on Souths

Hope you don't include 30 odd foot of grunt as talent
@Newtown said:History tends to repeat itself. John Singleton tried to prop up the Newtown RL club in the early 1980's. The club made the grand final in 1981 but soon after Singleton withdrew his financial support and the club was out of 1st grade by 1984\. Without sound financial backing glories in modern rugby league are short lived.
@Basil Tiger said:If Crowe was fair dinkum he would leave his money in but it will probaly counts towards any Divorce settlement and he's possibly better off getting half of it back than having the lot tied up with Souths.

On the contrary, I think handing over half of Souths would be a wonderful divorce present….
