Full of promise, never delivered, wont be missed.

Maybe not by you and many others ...but the likes of Stefano and Tom M as props may have learnt a thing or 2 during training that Russ has passed on...for that I will give him credit...

And credit he deserves for that... too many with a soft underbelly coming through and he always made himself available and set the leadership standard at training - especially upon Cleary's arrival, almost an immediate effect on the young blokes!

But just remember,he has played in the toughest sport,in the toughest competition more than anyone on this Forum for a very long time.Good luck Russ all the best and thanks for everything that you have done.

Of those signings (Reynolds and Matulino ) I thought Packer would be the best ......

We didn't see the form he displayed at the Dragqueens the season before

Good luck in retirement ......can't wait for the the Russ Packer Decoy Room at the COE .....

His first 6 weeks in 2018 were immense, he was probably the best prop in the game. After that knee injury Im not sure what happened, however we then had 3 3/4 years of a guy who couldnt have cared less.

I do not wish him well.

When I seen the Headline "Test prop retires" I thought YES Tamou has realised that he's past it and retired, only to be deflated when I seen it was Packer.

I used to be more deflated when he came on the field
