What a terrible article. Once again the Balmain bias is strong.

"In a wonderful rugby league family twist, Moses, 19, will make his NRL debut at the Tigers spiritual home, Leichhardt Oval, the same suburban venue where his uncle carved out a ball-playing reputation in the 1980s."

How on earth is Leichhardt the spiritual home of WESTS Tigers ? This crap is why the Magpie side of the JV get narky. The constant pushing of the Balmain side.

What a clown…..sorry we have played at Leichhardt for a thoussand years...and sorry Balmain champions offspring are playing for us...and Im sorry the hill is good...and Im sorry the hotdogs are awful...I hope it rains at Leichhardt and everyone gets wet.

Wests foreveveveverrrrrrr..and Cambo is our spiritual home....happy??

West Tigers have played there for 15 years. I am also thankful that some Balmain champion offspring are coming through the ranks. When people question why one side of the JV gets narky, it is articles like these, that do not give the slightest hint that the other side of the JV contribute also.

Why do you think the blokes in Black and White at the Campo games yell 'Wests' because we are making sure the only side of the JV that has any $$$ and contributes the most gets some recognition. Most of them support the Wests Tigers and want the Wests part of it to have a fair go.

Because nobody likes the magpies but even us who support another team have a soft spot for the mighty tigers and grounds like leichardt oval. I guess what it comes down to is balmain used to have the money but now the magpies do but the problem is nobody likes them…. There, I said it

Speak for yourself, boofhead. You got it wrong - it's Manly nobody likes… or is it Souths?

The Wests v Balmain argument is the only thing that has held this great club back for so long.

Let's just thank our lucky stars we still have a team to support unlike the poor North Sydney Bears.

Back to Moses….My curiosity has me wanting him to play on Sunday to see how he'll go with the big boys, but my opinion is that there is no rush just yet. I'd prefer if he came in next year after a full off-season and a bit of bulk.

Genoshan, members like you do nothing to promote JV forum harmony, ask anyone what former Wests players they remember, I doubt anyone would come up with anyone else other than Tommy.
How many former West players have offspring coming through the ranks, the silence is deafening, as somebody else said, everyone disliked Wests, everyone liked the Tigers, Balmain are down financially ATM but will come back, so being popular is their contribution to the JV at the moment, tomorrow, fans will still dislike Wests.

You're an idiot.

You guys should be ashamed! Seriously, lay off bunnyman!

How would you feel if you supported a rubbish club that hasn't won a comp in forever. Add to that your club was held in so low regard that it was booted from the comp. add to that your club was run by one of the top 10 douches on the planet who has loaded the club with star players but still can't win a comp…and add to all of that, everytime you go watch your team play and you see that your fellow supporters are the dregs of society...I'd be a nasty internet troll too if that was my life.

So please, when bunnyman says hurtful things please cut it some slack and show a bit of empathy.

I couldn't **NOT** comment on such a silly post.
Balmain bias?
The story is based on a **FAMILY** connection.
The author **NEVER** said that Leichhardt Oval was the spiritual home of **WESTS**tigers - he said **TIGERS**.
It is about Moses making his debut at the same place his uncle is associated with.
Whether you like it or not the team (in this reincarnation) is still called the TIGERS and Moses will be representing them.
Uncle/nephew , Tigers/Tigers, Leichhardt/Leichhardt.
See the connection?
Sorry that makes anyone on the Magpie side get '**narky**' but it would also be a nice story if someone from the Wests side of theJV whose relative played at Campbelltown got a chance to debut there.
However, I don't think it would attract the same inane comments as the story on Moses.

People looking to be insulted will find a reason.
It is a good story to link the family heritage.
Trevor Coggar's young bloke looks a really good player, maybe we will read a similar story when he debuts

I Just figured it was the only word they could spell?

Nice & Short.

I can only Imagine how they struggle with Centrelink

Dudes…seriously. The journo needed an angle for a story and went with that. If it was some bloke called Jayden Donnelly or Brayden Dorahy he may have mentioned Wests. Who cares.

Why does every mention of Balmain or Wests become a slanging match.

Could you all just grow up!!!

It's beyond words isn't it. Somebody always manages to drag a positive story into a "split" us topic. I've come to realise it's usually people with no capacity to have a normal discussion. It's a blight on them personally than anything to do with the club. What a shame.
