Doesn't it seem a bit ironic that 12 or so months ago , we were convinced that Sam Ayoub was the Antichrist, and were cheering about the fact that Teddy had dumped him and moved over to Isaac Moses management. Il bet that Spammy doesn't seem to bad now to some.
No matter how we feel about Moses' actions , he's certainly got some power in quite a few clubs, and it will probably get bigger in the future.
The NRL need to do something to get some restrictions on Managers, but I don't know how they could because of legal restraints.
 
They could do it very easily, they just won't. The system (or lack of system) that is in place around player managers is just asking for rampant corruption.

I have wondered if Moses was keen for his players to go to other clubs in attempt to increase his influence.
 
Player managers are the enemy of the fan.
They promote disloyalty. Its all about the money for them.
 
Here's a genuine question re player mangers and salary cap cheating.

Is there anything to stop say for example Nick Politis from saying to Isaac Moses, we want Teddy, so we will pay Tedesco 800k per season for 2 years, plus Isaac, im going to give you 500k for bringing your player to us.

So Isaac could then give Teddy another 250k as a gift at a later stage (or he could just keep it himself) and effectively, but unofficially Tedescos contract just became 925k per season but remained at 800k on the books.
How would the NRL ever prove something like that ?
 
Managers are employed by players they act for them. As long as the manager doesen't break the law or rules of the game then the actions they undertake are the responsibility of the player.

We have to stop shifiting blame from those who are responsible and that is the players in issues such as these

Now I don't think much of Isacc Moses ro Sam Ayoub but the players choose them so they are responsible

There is an accreditation and registration scheme which I imagine would prohibit managers from receiving kick backs from clubs to send players their way. That's exactly the kind of corruption I would be very concerned is going on.

You would need whistle blowers to prove that sort of corruption, or luck onto it off the back of an ATO investigation or something like that.

Read the garbage that is in the Telecrap today over 2 pages and then tell me that Player managers do not have influence over journalist ..what is written to a large extent could only come from one source!

He got some great deals for Robbie, and whether we like it or not that's his job .
Same with Moses, until the NRL step in if possible
 
Comparing Ayoub to Moses is liking comparing cow crap to moose crap. The one which is worse is whichever you're standing in at the time.

I agree. These players don't even need managers. It's the players who are dogging it.
