Here's a genuine question re player mangers and salary cap cheating.

Is there anything to stop say for example Nick Politis from saying to Isaac Moses, we want Teddy, so we will pay Tedesco 800k per season for 2 years, plus Isaac, im going to give you 500k for bringing your player to us.

So Isaac could then give Teddy another 250k as a gift at a later stage (or he could just keep it himself) and effectively, but unofficially Tedescos contract just became 925k per season but remained at 800k on the books.
How would the NRL ever prove something like that ?

There is an accreditation and registration scheme which I imagine would prohibit managers from receiving kick backs from clubs to send players their way. That's exactly the kind of corruption I would be very concerned is going on.

You would need whistle blowers to prove that sort of corruption, or luck onto it off the back of an ATO investigation or something like that.

I think an organisation called the ATO might be interested in that as well

If this scenario came about, the police would be very interested since paying and/or a secret commission is highly illegal and people have gone to gaol for this.

If you every get to talk with Braith Anasta when no one is to close to hear ask him about uncle Nicks $10.000 a whole golf skins games he plays with the special players uncle Nick can not play golf and winnings as far as I know is not declared to the tax office 18 whole $10.000 a whole not a bad days work
