Scorching hot chillies

I was right - the Jolokia are the Ghost Chillies that I referred to!!!

My eyes watered just from the fumes of them cooking in a separate room!

I too like hot food - but those waiver documents ensured that my head overruled any sense of bravado!!!

Great Thread,

I love hot food as well, put it this way i have a bottle of chilli on my desk in my office, i have no food in my fridge but i have three kinds of chilli in there.

Years ago my mate and i used to go to an Indian restaurant every Thursday night and get the Vindaloo's and anything hot on the menu. One day we asked the owner if he had anything hotter, he preceeded to tell he did but would not normally sell it to customers. Anyway, we got it, i have no idea what chillies were used but all i can say is i had one spoonful of food and nearly passed out. I'm used to really hot stuff but this was on another planet, might have been one those chillies.

I've seen some funny (in a completely disturbing sense) youtube clips of people eating these.

they weren't grown by inmates of a Guatemalan insane aslyum by chance?

They are Indian in origin as both Stryker & I have stated icon - so it probably was them!

I still cannot get over the fact that they are literally grown in virtual fortresses in India because if elephants were to get in & eat them - they go on a mad rampage!!

If it can do that to an elephant - just imagine what stryker is going through!

(Any hallucinations a'la Homer Simpson stryker??)

I don't understand why anyone would want to eat really hot chillies. Is it a "guy" thing?

Anyway, how's your ass, Stryker? Ouch!!!

Haha nah no halucinations….reaction fairly similar to Homers though lol.

Massive endorphin rush though. Felt pretty euphoric there for a while once it started wearing off. Good half hour of solid pain and then a couple of hours of mild burning.

Mrs T you dont really eat these super hot ones for any other reason than comparing aggot size lol. They taste quite good for about 30 seconds and then it feels like someones operating a wipper snipper down your throat.....then it intensifies! A good hot chili adds to most meals and they are very good for you, but these ones are just silly.

Very painful coming out....the missus banged on the door and told me to shut up. Far too much swearing for that time of the morning evidently lol. She reckoned I sounded like a south central gangster... I did say MOFO a lot!

...and Spartan... really dont think I could bring myself to eat one of those peters lol.....

Well done champ - I bow to you!!!

(Just don't bow back because there could be some after-shocks!!)

Cheers mate - thanks for sharing your experience!!!

hahaha …remember this thread?

Well after a day on the cans with some good buds and some particularly idiodic behaviour, my mate went home and got his bottle of hot sauce called the "wrath of god". Bloody hot to say the least. He also brought back 2 of these little manics called the Dorset Naga.

These are worse than the Bhut's.....ate them about 4 hours ago and they are still kicking my arse!!!

This video here is of the guy Jase bought them off. He is a legend fire eater and you can see from his reation how hot they are.

...gotta lay of the grog man.....once again tomorrow is gonna SUCK!!! LOL.

Worst thing you can do is drink water! It only makes it worse…

I love hot and spicy foods but as mentioned (lol) my digestive system does not.

It's a risk I don't think is worth the reward, so to speak.
Toned down to mild salsa and so on for less discomfort in the bathroom.

Can't say I miss the chilli too much and i definitely don't miss the butt burn.

How are you holding up this morning Stryker?

pretty ordinary mate….pretty ordinary.

Gotta say though the endorphin rush is unreal. Had the cold shivers for a while. Had a bit of a look around on the net and there are tonnes of combination sauces popping up now. Really evil stuff

Theres one called "Satans Sh!t" that looks ridiculously hot - its full of Bhut Jolokias, Dorset Nagas and some essence of pure capsaisan crystals....punching up around the 1 1/2 million BTU's mark. Its only in the UK but if I can get my hands on it I'll make a video of us road testing it for a few giggles.

howcome

As chillies are an oil based product, it is exactly the same as throwing water on an oil fire…it spreads it! In the chillies case, the capsaisan ( the burney part), is spread right throughout your mouth throat etcetera making the whole experience all the more painful.

If you cant stand the pain, dairy products, bread and especially salt help to soak up the capsaisan. If you need to drink something, milk is the go.
