Scott and Reynolds get grade 1 charge

Beau Scott's part in the tackle should have no bearing on the ruling whatsoever. The Bromwich's got off free while McLean sits out 7 weeks for a horrendous incident, so Reynolds should've copped 2 for his. Not necessarily more, but at the end of the day Tate was put in a dangerous position as a direct result of Reynolds trying to lift (and also making no attempt whatsoever to control the landing).
It'd be nice to see the NRL "crack down" on something for longer than a week at a time.

This is of course if we are using the MacKinnon/Maclean tackle as a precedent.

Who says they got this one right?

Theyre so inconsistent, which ones are right and which ones wrong, we have nothing to judge by

Further reason for the NRL to set a standard. There may be a tentative precedent but if it simply becomes a matter of lift and you're out it would be a lot more accessible, as with the amended punching rules.

Was Simona's tackle which attracted a two match suspension any worse? Or are the rules, i.e. anything goes, different for SOO? If the jury deciding Reynolds innocence was NSW based it certainly looks like blantant bias. NSW cannot win the series without the Hodgkins/Reynolds combination.

It's always a different set of rules for SOO matches compared to the rest of the comp. It's totally wrong, but that's the way it is now and that's the way it has always been. God, you could decapitate a bloke in SOO and only get a week! lol.

Ftr, I'm glad Reynolds will be able to play in Game 2 - of course I am biased, but I love the bloke, he's great value!
