'SEND TODD OUT IN THE 7' CAMPAIGN

I think as a mark of respect for Todd Payten and his wonderful service with the club, and as a tribute to his skills in the game, we should begin a …..

'SEND TODD OUT IN THE 7'

Campaign.

In the last game of the regular season, should he be selected, he should be allowed to wear the 7 jersey.

As we all know, he is a halfback stuck in a prop forwards body.

A stupid idea I know, but a bit of fun and a bit of respect at the same time.

ARE YOU WITH ME ANYONE??

I think it is a great idea - doesn't mean he has to play their he can play his normal game but would be a great promotion to have him named at 6 or 7

I like Ink's answer. Short but straight to the point.

As far as getting the club to put Todd in the 7 jersey, no chance.

As far as having a bit of fun to send the bloke off with some fan fair, why not? A few banners/signs and a FB group etc. Couldn't hurt to acknowledge the guy with a lighthearted campaign to make him a halfback for a game.

Its a great idea, some things are worth deviating from the 'norm' and Todd has definitely done some deviation from the normal prop persona in his time.

Our team has enough trouble with #4 playing at FB, #2 playing at centre, #15 at left wing… Let's further the confusion by putting #7 in the front row. :S

Don't like the idea of Todd wearing '7' but it is a good idea to do something to acknowledge his fine contribution to the club in his last game (assuming he'll be back- fingers crossed).

I'm sorry, I think this is ridiculous. We're hard up as it is at the moment…

And this is coming from the genius who nominated Adam Blair as the player retiring from the game to free up salary cap for his mates.

Swordy, I think it is a very good idea. You and I know that it will not happen but I like yer thinking!

Clearly understand the marketing and humorous perspective, but it makes a mockery of his career as a quality forward. Let him choose the last wests tigers jersey he ever wears. Hopefully it is the first Sunday in October.

How about we let Todd choose . I know if it was me I would rather go out in the jersey I had worn for the rest of my career

in Todd's last game, if wests have a lead that cannot be run down, and get a penalty or score close to the posts, let him have a shot at goal.
.

Please….I love your passion, but this is a Professional Elite Code of Football. The shot at goal towards the end of his last game sounds more like something which could be taken into account, but only if I havnt got a Margin Bet...

Maybe Todd is proud being a Forward?

Don't understand all the negativity…
Just have a #7 on the jersey instead of an #8 or #10, couldn't hurt.
Not like he'll actually play the halfback role.

6\. Benji
7\. Payten
8\. Lui
9\. Farah

... couldn't hurt.

I think Faffy should hand over the captaincy to Rodney next game he plays!! Now that would be the biggest mark of respect to see Toddy lead the boys out of the tunnel.
