rks Second Trial Team Named
Tuesday, 23 February 2010

Hisense Sharks coach, Ricky Stuart, has named an almost full-strength side for the second trial match against the Wests Tigers this Saturday 28th February, at 5.15pm.

The game will be part of the NRL’s double-header at Bluetongue Stadium on the Central Coast, with a game between the Roosters and Eels following at 7.30pm.

Despite losing their opening trial match against the Manly Sea Eagles, the boys will be looking for a win heading into their round one opener against the Melbourne Storm.

Paul Gallen, Paul Aiton, Taulima Tautai and Scott Porter will all return to the field after recovering from injury. The great news caps off a remarkable day for the Sharks, having signed new major sponsor and international brand, Hisense Australia, on a two-year deal, and membership figures continuing to break records with 400 fans becoming ticketed Members for 2010.

No Dean Collis??

Injured knee against Manly, might be fit for round 1.

Massive side named. Pretty solid forward pack and they'll get decent go forward although their backline looks pedestrian.

Be interesting to see how many players Sheens names. I don't think he'll name more than 19.

is 400 their record breaking ticketed member figure? or is it suppose to be 4000? lol

I was wondering that myself.

Maybe they mean they signed up 400 members on the one day?

Looks like Flanagan might struggle to get game time again this year. Morris and Aiton would be the top two hookers I assume.

At least Stuart is taking 29 players to Gosford. That's what trial's are all about. 4 x 20 min quaterers. Perfect opportunity to give them all a go. Allow players, to do their best to vie for a position for Round 1, great opportunity to get different sets of halves to work together and see which combo works best. Good on you Sticky for staying to true to what a trial match is supposed to be. Sheens take note!!
