Sharks v Broncos

Anyone else see the game last night? Wade Graham puts on 2 good hits, one that should have resulted in a try, but was penalised both times for his shoulder coming in contact with the opponents head, well opponents chin. Is it all going too far? Has the league gone too far in the other direction in trying to protect players?

You can see both hits on the highlights package on leaguetv

Yeh just more inconsistency…..I do agree though the head should be off limits, regardless if youre falling whatever.

Loved the sharkes attitude, they smashed the Broncos early...won em the game
Played reaaly really tough....never see that with us

Yep I agree there was nothing wrong with those tackles. It's a friggen collision sport, people will get hurt. If you don't like it, don't play or watch it.

I don't think so. Anything that hits the head is and should be a penalty. Don't have a problem with that. That is the danger of leading with the shoulder, you have to get it right or you may contact the head which is totally unacceptable.

I think the leauge have this 100% right.

actually.. the first hit, they were penalised because they stayed in the tackle too long. THEN he put the same hit on again and hoffman lost the ball resulting in a try

ye.. this rule and the knock on/penalty rule really needs more clarification or consistency, no two opinions on that

A bit off track , but the Sharks I reckon have just about guaranteed themselves a top 4 spot

Unlike us they will beat the Roosters and Knights

I thought the Broncs had em on a platter till Stapleton took the intercept

Me too, and the Broncos were severely understrength - with both teams at full strength I reckon the Sharks would've got creamed!

Especially when the senior player on the team through it. Apart from Wallace and one other (I think Reid) every other player for Brisbane on Friday had played Toyota Cup for the club at some stage. Reid wouldn't have 50 first grade games to his name anyway, so he's hardly a senior head. Wallace was the man to win it for them late in the game and instead he lost it.

On a side note, despite so many stars being out I thought this was one of the best games all season.

I read that it was a 'gutsy performance' from the Sharks 😕…Yeah sure they were missing Carney and Gallan, but i would have thought Brisbane missing half their side would have severly swung the balance in the Sharks way. I couldn't believe they were paying 2.75, easy money there

was a very good game to watch.
good hard hits, give all and take no prisoners attitude in defence.
like to see more of it.
