I’d probably go to work shirtless everyday if I looked like that.

He's obviously in good nick but I'd look ace too if I was literally paid to work out. Not impressed by a ripped professional athlete. In fact I'm more impressed by the guys like George Rose and Piggy Riddell who can train at elite level and still be chubby.

But I'm paid to sit at a computer, hence why I get a little bit fatter every season.

Who do you think would be the worst rig to play in the modern NRL? Mark Riddell is a good start, Tui Lolohea would be pretty high on the list.

Sam Backo or the Coal Train maybe

Anyone concerned that Blores mate is stabbing people at jr football games?

Middlebrook, who was sent from the field, was charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other, in relation to the brawl. He is expected to front Penrith Local Court today.

Middlebrook is not charged with stabbing the three male victims.

Ok, I obviously didn't read it correctly.
Still this young footballers and stabbing thing needs to be dealt with, it's concerning that people are attending jr games with weapons.

Lot of boys carry around Penrith. Think it’s America acting like it’s the hood and forming gangs etc.

Seems it's got worse than when I grew up there 30 yrs ago, one of the main reasons I left Sydney, didn't want my kids growing up around rats.

Sydney is a rat race, only a rat can win the rat race.

Best part of Sydney is seeing it in your rear vision mirror.

Great city actually, one of the worlds best. Just has some issues like every other city.

Sydney was a fantastic city I spent 3/4 years in Newtown back in the late 70s....it was great to go out and about with only minor fights or break ins...30/40 years on and Iam glad to be out of there...the drug and gang culture plus the religious bickering, links to terrorism and the youths sense of entitlement makes it a place for me to avoid..

We certainly live in an ever changing world, covid will make it far different to what we were used to...

I suppose ""WELCOME TO THE NEW NORMAL"".....

In regards to Blore....I honestly think he has huge NRL potential, the trick will be keeping him in the right frame of mind so he can concentrate on having a great career and trouble free life...

Boils down to good man management and the will to do the right thing...the ball is in his court...

For someone not in Sydney any more you seem to have an odd idea of how it is now - drug and gang culture huh. Whereabouts exactly? What is religious bickering? Terrorism? Because of that crazy dude in the chocolate shop?

I don't honestly reckon you can judge a city unless you actually live in it. For example I've been in Sydney all my life 40 years and if anything it's become safer for me than it was when I was a kid.

I actually took the bother of looking up some stats: https://www.bocsar.nsw.gov.au/Pages/bocsar_datasets/Datasets-.aspx. Between 1990 to 2019, the incidence of crime per 100,000 people as follows:

incidents that have gone down:
murder down 54%
robbery no weapon 65%
robbery firearm 88%
robbery non-firearm weapon 56
breaking and entering dwelling 68%
b&e non-dwelling 80%
motor vehicle theft 82%

incidents that have gone up:
assaults up 61%
sexual assaults 184%
other sexual offences 136%

So maybe there's more perverts in Sydney now than there used to be, but also it's very likely the rate of reporting is much better than it used to be, i.e. people coming out to report incidents.

Each to their own jirskyr,I seen enough of the City...lovely place to visit but dont want to live there ...mate when there is a stabbing at a local footy match, druggos in the lane at the cross, gutless coward punches that lead to deaths(and yes the Kelly family are from the Southern highlands where I live)then that tells me the place aint what it used to be...sorry if I offended you but I have my reasons and I will stick by them....

With Facebook etc now news travels quick and fast Which may give the impression there’s more.
As far as assaults go it’s more readily acceptable to report now days. just my assumptions
Lived in Syd for 2 years when I was 22. Don’t hate the place but never in a rush to go back and visit

Not offended at all, but there are 5M people here now so there's bound to be some negative things happening from time to time.

Could be worse, could be Melbourne ?

Any idea why Blore hasn’t been given more game time? He always seem to offer some spark when he has been on and is about the only forward I’ve seen actually offload this season

coming off an ACL injury I think they're just trying to dip his toes in, before having a big pre season and hopefully locking in a spot on the right edge. think he's looked gassed a few times in recent weeks and Madge is managing his workload.

Madge is doing the right thing in not throwing him to the wolves each week.He will be fine next year with a full off seasons training

Also may help with the next (now i'm hoping) contract being negotiated not being over inflated 😆

After the performance of some of our forwards this week you’d think he’s a chance for next week.

Saving him for Slimeys and Pussy Brown.

I reckon the Slimeys are biggest tanking / diving / con-men / fakers .. team in the comp. They will stay down grabbing the head in just about every tackle .. which forces the bunker to review the tackle and if there is any part of the oppositions body near a Slimey's head .. a penalty is awarded to them .. !! Then once the penalty is awarded to them, they bounce up straight away and start smiling and laughing .. !!
