Sheens and Potters teams

Benji would still be here

Sheens DID set up the junior pathways…we really had noting in this regard prior to him.

Thats his legacy...his positive one, and the premiership

True, ill give him credit for that. not an enormous amount as any good quality coach given the time he had would have set up the same or better but yeah we have found something he can take some credit for lol.

Patterson, Richards, Lulia and Austin would all not be at the club. Maybe even Taupau and Gavet to.

Simona wouldnt be getting a run and Lote would still be here. With this weeks injuries our team would look like this

1.Meaney
2.Tuqiri
3.Ayshford
4.Lawrence
5.Korobiete
6.Marshall
7.Anasta
8.Woods
9.Fulton
10.Galloway
11.Blair
12.Petttybourne
13.Thompson

that's pretty spot on there.

Lawrence would be playing 5/8th..who could ever forget this moment of visionary brilliance.

He'd also probably have Mark Flanagan, Sam Harris and Peter Lewis back in the ranks.

I'd probably go with:
1\. Meaney
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford (he'd still be here if they boys club was)
4\. Lawrence
5\. Koro
6\. Marshall
7\. Brooks (I honestly think he'd actually be there)
8\. Woods
9\. Fulton
10\. Galloway
11\. Pettybourne (thanks KS, forgot about him)
12\. Anasta
13\. Blair

14\. Groat
15\. Gavet (He was a Sheen's signing right?)
16\. Thompson
17\. Simona (maybe - he only played 7 FG games in 2 years under Sheens though)

No Richards, No Taupau, Nofo would probably be in NSW Cup or he can switch with Simona, Don't think Sue or Ava would be there either.

Why did we have good years in 10 & 11? Low injury toll.
Why did we have poor years in 12 & 13? High injury toll.
Anything can happen between now & end of year.
Current Aussie coach, just won World Cup & only ever had the best interest of the players & club at heart. Good structures in place & always bleed junior talent with their welfare in mind. Sheen's is still at the top in rugby league, where are we? Show the man the respect he is due.
Go Weststigers!

Third!

Exactly - yes Sheens had two very poor years two finish off and basically he had run his course with WT. BUT WT was a total basket case when we got Sheens and WT got turned around. Just like I hope Potter ends up with a legacy of turning the club and pointing it in the right direction. Sure most recent memories of Sheens frustrate but the guy did good things for the club and some decisions were not so good - you'll find they same at any club where the same coach is in charge for a long time.

Where are we? Third. Not the team - us as individuals bonehead. Give the man the respect he deserves as I posted. Go Weststigers!

Did anybody watch fox 'classic' game during the week? Tigers v cowboys 2007, our bench:

14\. Whatiura
15\. Halatau
16\. Heighington
17\. Harrison

it's been 2 years guys, give it a rest.

he got you a premiership and 3 top 4 finishes, he wasn't perfect but it's probably time to move on.

Someone mentioned Koroibete as a second rower

That could work , far easier defensively and he would be useful running at halves coming off the bench at 1000 miles an hour

Would be worth trialling in NSW Cup (seriously )

Heard a rumour pHyR3 that your avatar (koro) may no longer be retained at WT.. making room for someone else.. Watch this space.

yeah, wouldn't be surprised if we want to keep nofo, teddy and siro.

dont really want to change though haha too much of an effort, hope he kicks on wherever he plays (probably the sharks :stuck_out_tongue: )

This is the Tigers aim from what I've heard

We will probably need to lose BMM and Koro to keep Tedesco to raise the extra bucks for his contract upgrade

Any reason we haven't tried off loading BMM to the Knights seeing they have lost Packer and McKinnon in a mid season deal

Makes sense to me , have they any surplus outside backs that might be able to play in the centres ??
