Sheens Quits WT

And now fox sports is reporting that tigers deny sacking sheens…

@FOXSPORTS_NEWS: Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys denies reports Tim Sheens has quit the club.. Time will tell if this remains at the end of the day. #FSN

FFS, what a circus! How hard is it to confirm or deny?

Any announcement will want to be finalised and a statement drawn up to release before involving the media.

Tim Sheens has earnt the right to announce his departure if that is the route he has chosen

Little confused as to what's what. At one end of the scale you have the media who will kill for a good article and pull something out of nothing. And at the other end you have Sheens leaving quietly, media may have been involved and the CEO hasn't. Who knows, until it's confirmed from Sheens I guess.

"The Mole ‏@RLW_Mole
Just to clarify - Moley has spoken to @TigerTim - he has NOT quit, or been sacked… yet. They are telling him NOTHING. " - This on twitter 12 minutes ago from the RLW mole

MTD,

In all fairness, its the media creating the circus, not the Wests Tigers.

The club cant control what the media print. They are right to go about the process carefully and ensure that the right decision is made.

Cleanout? Get Brian Smith on a two year deal and then sack him for another full time coach. Seems to have worked at all the other teams he has coached.

Eels look great
Bennett is rebuilding Newcastle and had to have a cleanout
And how are the roosters looking

Smith destroys clubs that's why he always gets moved on

100% agreed! Trail of destruction left behind Smith. Keep him away from us please. At least we can rebuild after Tim.

Anyone actually looked at the @tigertim account?

It is not Tim Sheens

How funny is this getting … I don't want it to end now ... Come on gentleman drag it out another couple of weeks ... Just for Snoddy ... PLEASE.

So what odds another emergency board meeting tonight ?

Damn, was pleased there for a little while. How long is this going to drag out for? Probably a while I guess while they still try and sort out payouts.

It was a dumb idea to give him 3 years last year and it's coming back to bite them. More heads to roll in management.

Some references to Smith in this thread. Just something that has interested me, the Roosters met for 30 minutes (if that!) and sacked Smith. Robinson appointed the next day.

We are still trying to work out how to sack Sheens.

The difference between the two clubs? Money.

Nick Politis, thats the difference. When he says it's time for someone to go, then there's no need for much deliberation, is there?

I think this is great news on going for the Tigers. Got a feeling the players in NSW CUP side and u/20s may take great heart from this. There is obvious talent in those two sides that west need to harness.

Agree with Smegs comments re Benji….from his behaviour one starts to think he thinks he is bigger then the club.

Benji and farah are this club. As the leaders of this team naturally they will have an opinion or say on what's happening. The money those 2 generate for this club, especially benji, is enormous.

He stayed about 5 years too long but yes he will probably go down as our greatest ever coach for the next hundred years.

I hope not. I couldn't take so long in the wilderness again.

Also on Benji, we don't know how things are playing out among the team. Maybe he is the one who has the kahunas to step up and say what everyone else is saying in the sheds? Maybe they have all had a gutfull and the Ryan/Heighno thing was the final straw?

Maybe Benji is sick of sticking up for Sheens and being rewarded by being played out of position and without a halves partner all year? Like Gun said, Benji and Robbie are the team, before you ride them without really knowing the full story let's see what pans out?

X2\. Senior players are consulted whenever a coaching appointment or dismissal are made. Were being naive if we think otherwise.

What they do amongst the team dynamic is none of my concern but the media sooking in a grab for sympathy from Benji made any respect for him as a leader of the club dissapear at a massive rate of knots.

His attitude is exactly what stinks about our culture. Doesn't matter if they get slapped by 50, as long as they get to be with their mates

Does not equate to premierships. That's the problem. Benji & Farah are the club.
