Sheens should take some credit

Sheens has his detractors but to get the side up like he did was enormous.

He played everything perfectly.

Agreed, he knows finals football. He is our x-factor.

There is a poster on the LU forum who is an absolute meataxe but he goes on incessantly about Sheens's "game plans."

He's totally right.

The Tigers are almost invincible in finals. Just look what it took last week.

Agreed!

I don't know if we were as busted as we made out in the press, but that is what the press is for….to use to your advantage.

Definitely, Benji looked 100% out there.

Keep it going Sheens, 2 more to go!

The psychological side of his approach, to get the boys back up mentally is a great effort.
He also has great players like payten, and has had hodgo buckets and skando in the past to help in this area.
Payten straight away after last weeks loss was working on getting the team 'right' in the head.

Great effort…..I saw benji as they ran out, it reminded me of the 05 series when players were running out before kickoff, all smiling, happy enjoying it.

can we pull up the sack sheens threads now? It wasn't that long ago. Sorry to be bitter on a very good night. It just goes to show its good we aren't running the side or having any influence at all because our opinion seems to change every week.

Sheens: 2 preliminary finals in six years playing the best brand of footy in the league. Not perfect but I don't think we could have done better with another coach. He deserves more than a little credit for this.

Well said Innk….

I think we can agree that Sheens knows what's required when it comes to finals football...no more evidence is required than this week......

No Farah or Marshall in the media of any substance...
Payten doing the crunch stuff
Heighington and Fulton putting their hands up for the loss
The unfairness of playing in Canberra...

All the while plotting an ambush with a gameplan to knock the Raiders of their game....That's why I forgive him for the failure of the past and that's why I'm glad he is our coach...

Sheens did his job...

Sheens does seem to know what to do come finals time. He knows how to get the boys up. I agree, credit to Sheens.

great coaching effort by sheens to get the boys right to go after last week. i think simmons and folkes beside sheens is a real plus especially in these pressure games. bring on the chokers !

The sack sheens threads are archived until next year now…..lol

Always knew Sheens has the magic still in him but it was the players tonight cause we won.Great win...

yes full credit to sheensie ..tonight he sat in the box and let the players do their stuff … hit me with some pie and whatever abuse anyone llikes ... last weeks loss hurt and i got caught up in the emotion.. we were a 20 point better side than the roosters and we lost ....now its game on ......sign up sheens for life .............................,,,,,,,,

Not taking anything away from the indivdual players who put there bodies on the line every week, but the last 10 weeks has been all Sheens work…

He knows how to win at this end of the season and the preparations he has provided the boys has been second to none.

It seems to me 2010 really means something to Tim and I have a feeling on GF Day, he might keep his Premiership Ring this time!!!

In Sheens we need to Trust. He knows exactly what he is doing, even though we can't understand it at times, but he is the man. He did a wonderful job this week, as did all the team and the support staff. I think we all just need to relax and let the guys do their job because I believe 110% that we have the full package this year to win the big one, and obviously they all think the same.

I just wonder what Mr Sheens is going to do with an 8 day turnaround….......can't wait to find out.
