Matty was very open about coaching Samoa with Joey.
If his state called him... I think he'd answer and he's not apart of the whole Fitler, Alexander and Budereus group which is a plus.

I'm saying that channel 9 wouldn't allow it. They run the show now. It's a reality programme and only their people can be contestants. So it'll be the next rugby league celebrity narcissist Joey Johns as coach.

Yep he is a injury riddled player and one who should never have been picked , this applies to Steph as well , Steph is a good player but Klemmer has outplayed him all year , but they put Steph in, Dumb move , Fittler and his bare feet in the grass was a clear sign the guy is a nut job ,

If Slater went on the NRL market as a coach there'd be a line of clubs wanting him and he'd be paid millions. If Freddie went on the NRL market as a coach there would be no takers. You can tell the difference in the interviews, in the players gushing about how great the Qld coaching staff are, and in the organised Qld team we have seen the last two series.
Kevvie had much weaker teams than NSW on paper but Qld looked more organised than us under Kevvie too, just that we had prime Teddy, Maloney, Cordner, Jake, Tommy and Latrell.
Please not Madge. All the Tigers players went backwards under him. We need someone as brainy as Slater. All I can think of is Gould, but he's now a backroom player.

If Gould had any balls or even a percentage of the passion he claims to have, he would have stepped in during the decade of dominance.
2006 and 2007 Graeme Murray lost all series
2008 and 2009 and 2010 Craig Bellamy lost all series
2011 and 2012 Ricky Stuart lost all series
2013 and 2014 and 2015 and 2016 and 2017 Laurie Daley lost 4 series and won .
I expected Gould to step in somewhere around 2010. NSW had lost 4 on the trot, a feat neither side had achieved so far, and they needed to recover as QLD had an awesome team. Gould was only 52 years old back then and highly involved with Origin folklore. He prefered to sit on his fat arse and criticise rather than be proactive about supplying solutions. He enjoyed the notoriety of people calling SOS for him, but did nothing and NSW took 5 more years to win a series.
He is a fraud.

They might want it but imo won’t be as motivated this time as NSW will be to avoid the sweep.

You are underestimating them.
Those who participated regularly in the decade of dominance, are seen as footballing gods up here.
This new crew are capable of starting their own thing and will be hugely motivated to crush NSW in Sydney.
If the Blues dont turn up, theyll get smashed.

Certainly not underestimating them but with a little more finesse NSW could have won at least one of the games. We had chances we didn’t take whilst QLD had chances they took.
And I think the Blues will turn up, and win. Just my opinion and totally respect yours.
We’ll know in a fortnight.

I think Fittler should continue to coach the Blues. It's not just the 3 games a year, but he does a lot of travel and promotion work too. Needs a better brains trust to support him though. No way should Turbo be picked twice in the centres - replacing him in both games pretty much stuffed the Blues. Fittler needs to be his own man. TPJ was a Gus pick.
Should have stuck with Nicho Hynes.
