Sign Craig Bellamy at all costs ASAP

As he is off contract at the end of next season the Tigers should try & sign Craig Bellamy for 2014 & beyond.
The time to plan for post-Sheens was probably "yesterday".

1 team state means you have a much larger pool of juniors to chose from and 3 naturally gifted players in slater, cronk and smith. I think Bellamy is overrated. IMO hasler is the best coach in the nrl by a considerable margin, probably mcguire second

Hmm, not sure about the one team state bit when it comes to the Storm. How many local juniors actually play for them? 0 isn't it?

4\. Flanagan
3\. Furner **Argue all you want, if this guys team actually listened to him they would be winning by 30 every week**
2\. Mcguire
1\. Hasler

People seem to think you have to pay a squillion dollars and attract a Hasler,Bennett or a Bellamy to be successful. Their are plenty of good coaches out their, Dymock,Stone and Anderson are a couple that come to mind. Whats important is we a get a new coach from outside of the organization. We have to take the whole football club outside of their comfort zone. At present everyone is far to cozy with each other, no one is demanding results. After a win everyone is back patting each other and after a loss everyone at the club has a excuse. We need a new culture in the place and that will only come with lots of changes to the people making the calls.

Nah, look how cranky he gets when the Storm play even just an average game. God he'd end up having a heart attack each week with our mob!

Would rather have signed Hasler, but alas, he will now be with the Dogs for years I reckon :frowning:

You rate Furner and Flanagan as a better coach than Bellamy, Bennett and Sheens? That'll do me.

And Victoria as a one state team? How many Rugby League players do you reckon have come out of Melbourne or the state of Victoria? I mean larger pool of juniors? Really?

The raiders have one of the best teams in the league but are constantly struggling to make the 8, if furner was as good as you think he is they would be a top 4 side. Speed and power in the backs, good young halves, size and offloading ability in the forwards

By your reckoning we should pull Langmack, McRae or Lamb off the scrap heap.

just because Victoria is an "afl state" doesn't mean there aren't a lot of league players and fans down there. You don't think there are heaps of afl fans in nsw?….derp

Ha ha Furner? Well if he can't get his team to listen to him surely that is half the battle of being a coach.
Ask any raider and they would be more than happy to swap coaches

Bellamy = Blair.

Alright at the right money but we wouldn't get him for the right money. Lets look for value for money instead.
