I am trying to work out why people are going 'lets get a back' without thinking how they fit into the team.

Fox + Olam makes sense. they have played together and would 'gel' together.
Staines + Momo makes sense for the same reasons.

Not saying we have to get players in the backline who have played together.
I am saying we need to be strategic and identify who we need.

We need players that can tackle, BADLY!
WE need ball runners BADLY. ...
We need players that can form a defensive line

Lets not recruit any backs unless they are really special. Throw Sullivan/Fainu/Galvin there as they need game time.
^ofcourse Fox+o is Cap impossible.

Yep - in the 21 man squad - but they have won both games so are unlikely to change the 17.

The Hermimator, Tuipolutu, and Aho appear to be the aggressive forward leaders in this side. All three different builds too. Will be interesting to see how we run out next weekend

Shame that you mentioned that, now there will be a Curtis Rona like barrage of posts demanding that we re-sign him immediately. 🤣 🤣 🤣

On a serious note, good to see him have a bit of success and I was a bit surprised that we didn't give him a bit more time because I thought he probably surprised a few people and performed better than expected at the end of last season with the 2 or 3 games of NRL that he played.

Nof will really have to impress the coach with his fantastic attitude and his training excellence to crack the team.
