Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Lawrence is on $300,000\. When there was cap trouble a few years ago he "upgraded" his 2year $900k deal to a 3 year $900k deal.

I think he should be looking for a new manager & media advisor. Apart from the "deal" above and having stories published where he politely states he "hopes" he gets a new deal, he should be pointing out what he has done to help the club, that they owe him & demanding a post football ambassador role with the club.

For 300K he is an absolute bargain.

Even if he switches to a Depth second row signing I can still see him being very good for our club.

Under-rated Sharks forward Ava Seumanafagi was originally earmarked as the fall-guy from Cronulla’s cap drama with the Wests Tigers showing late interest in bringing the hard-running forward back to the club with whom he made his NRL debut.

However, with precious little time to work with before team’s are named on Tuesday, the Sharks and Tigers were unable to strike a deal.

Maybe we're not feeling so confident about Musgrove.

I would expect that because in no way would the club want to prejudice his case, but it could well be another matter in regards to any mud that will stick to him regardless of the judgement.

It’s a mental thing really. Body has nothing to do with it. They both have a will to win but one learnt about real loss pretty early on in their career.

Its also possible the club may not want Musgrove after the stigma of his alleged crime

You always need a plan B - if Musgrove is found guilty we're a prop short - Ava would be handy and I would argue more effective than Packer.

And the sharks would have to kick in a fair bit, which would help us with our cap
